hardwired

tried to reprogram my CPU

to be repulsed by the thought of you

and to relate

the sting of your hate

to yellow lab pups

but you can't reconfigure your brain

it just doesn't work that way

i'm hardwired to love you

and now have a house full of seattle's finest strays
