When we didn’t have
A *** to **** in
Or a window
To through it out
When we only had
Each other
We had lots of love
No doubt

When we didn’t
Have a thing
When we ate
At Burger King
When we had
Little to spend
We were happier
Back then

Before mingling
With super stars
Buying mansions
Riding fancy cars
When our cupboard
Was nearly bare
Truth of the matter
We didn’t care

When we didn’t
Have a thing
When we ate
At Burger King
When we had
Little to spend
We were happier
Back then

We had so much love
Back then
We had so much love
Back when
Our pockets were thin
And we scraped
To get by
We had love you and I

Now that is not
To say
That we don’t
Have love today
But it was so much
Harder then
It was harder
Way back when

When we didn’t
Have a thing
When we ate
At Burger King
When we had
Little to spend
We were happier
Back then

When we didn’t have
A *** to **** in
Or a window
To through it out
When we only had
Each other
We had lots of love
No doubt
