You Were There
When I called you crying
Screaming about how they wouldn't understand
How I loved you and nobody else
You were there
When I was giggling in the hallways
Over something Becky said
When I was laughing so hard I was crying
You were there
When I was bored as hell in math class
Just scrolling through our messages
Wondering why time flies so quickly
You were there
When I got the call
From my sister in Tennessee
Saying it was time to go
You were there
When the last box was packed
And loaded into the truck
When I left without a trace
You were there.
