I sat down next to you

And held your hand

But yet you did not

Feel me

I smiled at you

Your stare was straight

Ahead

As if you never even

Acknowledged me

I came up to you

To kiss your lips

But you slowly turned

And walked away

I saw you kneeling down

And bent to comfort you

Only to see

That I was the one in the ground…
