Dec 2015
I'm no longer who I was.
This smile used to be genuine.
Now I only paint it on for pictures
And awkward encounters with strangers.

Gotta turn on that smile to make them all
Feel okay about leaving me after we share
That split second of recognition
That single moment of a certain something
Before going our separate ways.

I'll smile for you
If that's what you need
To feel okay about
Knowing that I'm not okay.
