This Time of Year
As we wind down to the end of another year,
gathering together to give thanks
and share food.
Then the deadliest day βBlack Fridayβ,
which is meant to keep us busy
so the leftovers seem perfect for our dinner that day.
Shop till you drop is the next
order of the day.
With limited time to complete the mission before Christmas.
Presents then given as families gather,
another chance to share food and good cheer.
But don't forget at the end of each year.
The final celebration
with sharing of gifts and food,
is a birthday of sorts for Jesus our friend.
