*In the park the trees
are like frozen skeletons
ice and snow riding their branches.
Tormented and wind blown
They patiently await for springtime

In a few months it will come
new buds and green foliage.
Inside its roots the resting sap
patiently waits for warm days.

I make a vow to my
dormant spirit to be patient
like the trees.
II vow I  break before lunchtime.
