A plain stone
On a beautiful shore.
Scratches scored
Across
Telling tales of battles won
And lost.
Weathered by winds
And tossed aside by
The seas.
Trod on by heavy boots.
Some see gray.
Some see silver.
Part of a collection.
The sole collection.
The rare common stone.
