Not to ask
I want you to tell me
I don’t want you to lie
But i’m so desperate
You might as well try.
I need to hear it
More if it’s true
I’m complicated
Simple won’t do.
Next thing,
You answer
Your words don’t just hurt,
They’re cancer.
Everything i forget
My phone
My keys
But never this.
Wish i could rewind
Go back
Convince my mind
Not to ask.
Some questions aren’t wise
You never know
The demons
They’ll rise.
