A High School Female Spanish Teacher told my Mother at Parent and Teacher Day I wasn’t college material
She was speaking really on her own assumption
Could it be she felt afraid I would succeed?
The fact I made the Dean’s list in college shows inspiration and dedication to achieve
Also not listing to the High School Teacher in being deceived
Determination is the true effort
No one knows better than one’s self
The person is the true testimony like nobody else
I remember my mother stating, “I am going to make my Son college material”
I proved the High School Spanish Teacher wrong
College was where I belonged
The lectures opened my mind
The theories with logical approaches combined
Understanding with having a will
Above all deleting negativity
I became a college graduate while thinking positively
People don’t always have your best interest
Desired and success goes along way, but it is up to the individual in having the words to say
“Never give up nor give in”
Let knowledge fill your cup
Encourage yourself and move forward
Success is about looking upward
No matter what anybody says, “You are you, and you know about what you must do to achieve”
Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise
“Knowledge at any level and you are included and not being secluded".
