People label me a scathing sycophant
A skin-deep, sardonic serpent
They are quite correct
I blur into lives with bright eyes and dispassionate sighs
Like a social chameleon stalking souls
Opportunistically sinking my fangs into hearts
An intraspecies predator reveling in blood
Unreservedly zooming past life’s tolls
Sticking my head out to spit in the faces of the meek
I’m an aberration of moral principles
Very twisted and assisted by inherent callousness
A backstabbing, two-timing, double-faced freak

The Pretender
