I wanted to forget you
But your name is everywhere.
The street
The voices
Sometimes I can't stop it from spilling out of my mouth.
And it haunts me.
Like a blinking light at the end
of a dock
Flashing.
It keeps me up at night
while I wonder why everything has an expiration date
and why I can't seem to forget.
Honestly?
I was stupid.
Pages
Books
The back of my hand,
I wrote your name in ink so many times
It's no wonder I can't erase you.
