Yes I admit
That life’s been rough
But I’m not looking
For free stuff
Cos I’m resilient
And I’m tough
So tell me
Have I said enough

Must I further
This discourse
When it’s clear to me
You have no remorse
Despite free labor
Done by force
Perhaps you need
A history course

I’m not looking
For sympathy
To reinforce
Your hegemony
I just want
For you to see
I don’t value
What comes free

If I have to name
One gripe
I hate it
When you stereo type
Because I think
I’ve earned my stripe
So I’m not trying
To be liked

Free Stuff is in response to American presidential candidate Jeb Bush's remark that he didn't hope to win the black vote by promising them "free stuff".
