You've probably never heard of Lough Egish.
I'm not surprised.
The gene pool there, swirling near the mill,
For centuries,
Produced a multitude of survivors
From famine, Cromwell,
And seven hundred years of ethnic cleansing.
Then, sixty-one years ago today,
Me.
Lough Egish: "Lake of the Learned," a small community in County Monaghan, Ireland.
This is my "Yawp!!"
