Her weapon was a stick of chalk
And her black board was my clean slate
With every word she'd talk away my fate

She taught me to imagine
And tied my wanderings down
Until exams were things that deserved a crown

Thoughts would end and curiosity was piqued.
And doubt and questions were words to be critiqued.
