Blinds to keep the Sun out
and Summer still has its way
we do not argue anymore.
Not like the old days
when I would curse the heat
oven of nights spent sweating
tossing and turning on a spit
of a bed. Now much further
North and Summers heat is tamed.
We share our days cordially
friends from way back when.
