She carries every child in her arms

I ain't seen her in many a year

I forget what she looks like

I only remember how it feels

//

To know her

And to know she knows

If she calls

I will be there

We were good

We were not as strong as was needed then

We were right

But that don't mean too much no more

::

In the cabin in the woods

The stream's  near dry and death has come

We aren't side by side

But we really are you know

/:/

She carries every child in her arms

I sing a song

she walks the road both ways

All who know us have a home
