A beautiful land destroyed by hate,
Was ripped apart by the hand of fate.
Many losses each side were felt,
Hearts turned to stone can never melt.

And families that were torn apart,
Were forced to make a brand new start.
While demon snakes wore human skin,
To hide their evil hearts within.

Youth never was a match for age,
When used as fuel for deadly rage.
The bitter pill that seemed so sweet,
Was wrapped up, coated in deceit.

The trail of carnage left behind,
Can never be erased from mind.
Prayers are said to bury the dead,
In land once green now turned to red.
