Oh, how I love you
more than my tongue can tell
more than my heart can bear!
Oh, how you have become
a thorn in my heart
with every beat
more than any man can bear!
Oh, how I am undone
but a walking ghost and shadow.
Oh, how I lone for the end of days
days of long suffering.
Oh, how I have loved you
with a love beyond love
of your lovely
dark eyes and angelic form
and longed to touch
your lovely midnight hair
and oh, pain beyond pain
I have received
in return for my love.
Oh, I shall die of a broken heart!
Oh, how you have penetrated my heart
with pain beyond imagination
and sickness of my soul
that shall lead me
down a dark valley
to my grave
where I shall die
unloved and unremembered
by a cold hearted angel
wishing that I would
but vanish into smoke and dust
and live no more
as long as the endless days
of reality shall exist.
