A train rumbles in the distance
Dark blue gives way to black

Heat waves
Dusk saves

Crickets and lazy blades
carress sleeps ear

No harm
No doubt
No hurt
No fear

Sliding through slumber
safe in the dark

Not knowing what approaches
from trees in the park

Patiently waiting
til naiive sleep takes hold

Then he's in through the window
and stealing your gold

Back out through the window
and into the trees

Like a cat with gold chains
on a flying trapeze
