She knew his eyes were different
It wasn’t how they looked
It was what they could see

His eyes shined down upon her
He told her she was beautiful
Though she turned her face to his
She didn’t believe he was truthful

She knew her eyes were different
It wasn’t how they looked
It was what they couldn’t see

The mirror cast shadows upon her
She thought it was being truthful
Still he turned his face to hers
His heart only saw what was beautiful
