The ticking of clocks
has always ticked me off
the sound of life fading
drifting away
on the sea of time
racing hearts against it
useless like the broken shore
unable to receive a ship
a religion of adherence
to linear time-space
worshiping that clock
like the end all be all
of how our lives operate
when everyone knows
time is relative
especially if
you're on the wrong side
of the bathroom door.
