..... beginners
////
WE ARE ALL ONLY BEGINNERS
( AS LOVERS )
WE HARDLY KNOW HOW TO TOUCH

but ( alas )
We are too proud to admit this Obvious truth
So we shall continue to mutilate
Each other
And to be proudly mutilated
like the children we are
Playing house
Like we were adults
••
Yes
It is WE OURSELVES
who rob OURSELVES
of our childhood
And no one else !
//
as we so pompously EXPECT
some other kid to
HAVE IT ALL TOGETHER
while we play the
INNOCENT FOOL
//
selling your simple right to grow up
For ****** power and prowess
pretending that all the meaningless pain
Will not be imbedded forever
In your minds and hearts
WE ARE ALL ONLY BEGINNERS ......
get it ?
learning
( remember that concept ? )
Not competing
YOU ARE NOT BUDDING STARS
ON AMERICAN IDOL
But the youth of AMERICA
The youth of the WORLD
learning and growing
in the most loving way you can
