The certitude of abandon
Clear like the diamond on her ring
I was always bound to be the one
Left with my heart
Throbbing outside of my chest
Consumed in adoration
This life ebbs away
With torrents of unkind truth
It congeals at my feet, my dear
This inexorable despair.
