SO MUCH TO FEAR
Fear forged from experience
Like the memory of a burn
Worthy to avoid the lesson learned
But fear of the unknown
Is but a stranger on the phone
Chill bumps climb up the back
Of the child home alone
Candidates for sainthood
Caught up in god's test
Open up your heart
And you'll fear less and less
Rewards are here and now
When you ease a child's pain
Tear down the walls of self-righteousness
Or cast your love in vain...
