Race is just a subterfuge
That certain people use
To have us at each other’s throats
While keeping us confused
God made us different races
Colors shades and hues
But race shouldn’t really matter
Unless it shapes our views

If race is the big divide
Then someone must have lied
When rationality is applied
The facts can’t be denied

Some promote the view
They're better than me and you
Because of the color of their skin
And they also believe this too
Despite their circumstances
They're the chosen few
When in actuality
None of that is true

If race is the big divide
Then someone must have lied
When rationality is applied
The facts can’t be denied

Who said that you’re better than
Another woman or a man
Based on which of you is tan
Or born with less melanin

If race is the big divide
Then someone must have lied
When rationality is applied
The facts can’t be denied

It’s a diabolical scheme
As strange as that may seem
To keep us all preoccupied
Few get to live their dream
While the rest of us fight
We’re never gonna see the cream
And that’s perfectly alright
By those who rule supreme

If race is the big divide
Then someone must have lied
When rationality is applied
The facts can’t be denied

Race is just a subterfuge
That certain people use
To have us at each other’s throats
While keeping us confused
God made us different races
Colors shades and hues
But race shouldn’t really matter
Unless it shapes our views

If race is the big divide
Then someone must have lied
When rationality is applied
The facts can’t be denied
(Repeat chorus 2xs then fade)
