With one press of lips you walked away,

I wanted to beg please stay, please stay.

“Don’t destroy my dreams for I can change”,

But by that time you were out of range.

And the sun dipped its head into the grey,

And the flowers wilted onto their knees to pray,

The river stopped babbling calling for hush,

Crystal snowflakes turned to slush,

The birds ceased their twittering song,

And my heart weeped for you, so long, so long.
