I Am Not What You See
They say I am innocent,
Have they seen my stripes?
They say I am intelligent,
Have they seen me bribe?
They say I am independent,
Have they seen me try?
They say I am steady,
Have they seen me cry?
They say I am polite,
Have they seen me pry?
They say I am cool,
Have they seen me angry?
They say I am kind,
Have they seen me write?
They say I am loving,
Have they seen me despise?
They say I am adorable,
Have they seen me being a curse?
They say I am funny,
Have they seen me being nuisance?
They say I am a saint,
Have they seen me as a criminal?
They have seen the best of what I am.
Have they seen the worst of what I am?
Has anyone seen my halo?
I'm an angel but I lost my halo and wings.
I am a human being.
I am an imperfect human being.
Please stop thinking I am this and that
When my character shows I am not here but there.
