Summer skies full of lies.
Minute truth falling from the clouds.
Telling you everything will be fine.
Sunshine and butterflies
Make life appear better than reality.
Is that why they say the sun causes blinding if you look too long?
A glance here and there is fine,
But keep your distance or you'll get scorched
And see it for what it really is.
Distorting your emotions without your consent.
You can't run away from it.
You can hide in the midst of darkness at night,
But it just comes back to haunt you.
Over shining everything
Creating your true shadows.
