Like ice to the touch
Clouds of breath linger in frigid air
Talking about nothing
Shivers of goosebumps on arms
Hands in pockets hoping for warmth
Finding frozen fingertips hidden
Between the cotton
This is too thin, we need something more
My hands are too alone
My mind too isolated
Carefully choosing thoughts
Words unsure of the ears that listen
It is too cold here to feel safe
