I take a leap just now and then
to keep myself in shape,
like most men
I am vain,
mostly sane but sometimes not
mostly cool
but make no mistake
I am hot.

Age gathers within our souls,
a furnace
filled with burning coals and
at times
I take the leap
just to keep
myself in shape.
