The Truck Stop
I’ve been here all the while.
Like an old truck stop…
A dwelling full of life..hardly noticed.
One day your spirit tank runs dry
and you must stop and stay for a while.
The once overlooked dwelling helps through filling
the tanks of those left empty handed
The other spirit leaves, thankful, for not being left out in “no where land”
to die stranded.
The exchange is of care with no need of personal gain
Simply “I’ll come back to visit” and “to bring some friends with me.”
To the stop that helped a stranded visitor
Return on their way
Simply out of care to see to it that they are able to continue, onward,
to another well traveled day.
