Reaching out in darkness
Only to find I'm grasping air
You're not there anymore
To comfort me as I awake
From the nightmares that
Make my skin crawl with
Thousands of fire ants
You're no longer there to
Hold my hand as I walk
Thrugh the fire in my mind
I can't quite reach you anymore
You've ventured just past my
Cold, shaking fingertips
I'm hopelessly in love
But I threw it away for
Something that was a waste
I'd give anything at all
To have you back in my life
And call you mine
For as long as you'll have me
To love you like I should have before
