Pain, so irrevocable
Always too late once muttered.

You slice & dice me
And, I
Sprinkle you with lovers dust.

You pour petrol on an already lit fire
The smell still lingers days later
And, I
Seek out sweet medicine
Caressing your wounds;
Aloe Vera grows abundantly besides what we once called home.

You're the dog with her tail between her legs,
And, I
Gather you in my arms as you cry
A baby ripped from the womb
too soon.
