I woke up this morning
To a brand new day
Feeling light as a feather
Joyful and gay

The sky is a portrait
Of red, blue and grey
Such a beautiful sight
On this beautiful day

The future looks bright
For the first time in a while
I actually woke up today with a smile

I pray that my life will start turning around
I’m picking myself up off the ground

Starting fresh, a new attitude
A new pep in my step, a new positive mood

Life is good, just for today…
