Loving someone
doesn't always mean
that you have
to keep her in your heart,
sometimes,
you have to let her go.

She never had a diamond
To grace her small left hand,
No sapphires or anything
Except her plain gold band,

No sparkling jewels of any kind
No precious stones or pearls,
Although she had one ruby
Her fourth straight baby girl,

She must have wanted riches
For 'tis natural to prefer,
But she settled for her babies
Who were shining jewels to her,

The only carats
dad was able to buy
Were on the dinner table,

Food for three square meals as well
So her only rings were the dinner bell.
Paths really fascinate me
Guess they always will,
Whether in a clover field
Or up a grassy hill,

Is it curiosity
Or will I ever know?
Why I am filled with wonder
As to where and how far they grow?

praying it would hold like rope
and maybe, just maybe
it could have
if only you had not let go

There's a gap between us
Make it smaller
Cause I feel like
It's getting larger
With the seasons
Your cries
Make me feel defeated
Please don't leave me
Wait a week and you will see me
Take some time outside your mind
Take your shoes off and stay for awhile
I want to show you things
I don't want to be ashamed of my memories
It's time to rethink things
I hope you can forgive me

Things that go 'bump' in the night
Should not really give one a fright.
It's the hole in each ear
That lets in the fear,
That, and the absence of light!

Plagued with sleepless nights.
Meaningless hours of thought.
Unfortunate unforeseen plight
Peaceful rest is all I sought

Nights and days blend
With no end in sight
I fear there is no way to mend
My countless sleepless nights

i like my body when it is with your
body. It is so quite new a thing.
Muscles better and nerves more.
i like your body.  i like what it does,
i like its hows.  i like to feel the spine
of your body and its bones, and the trembling
-firm-smooth ness and which i will
again and again and again
kiss, i like kissing this and that of you,
i like, slowly stroking the, shocking fuzz
of your electric furr, and what-is-it comes
over parting flesh….And eyes big love-crumbs,

and possibly i like the thrill

of under me you so quite new

i will wade out
till my thighs are steeped in burning flowers
I will take the sun in my mouth
and leap into the ripe air
                                       Alive
                                                 with closed eyes
to dash against darkness
in the sleeping curves of my body
Shall enter fingers of smooth mastery
with chasteness of sea-girls
                                            Will i complete the mystery
                                            of my flesh
I will rise
               After a thousand years
lipping
flowers
And set my teeth in the silver of the moon
