The guy friends like to tease me
because I like to secretly romance
the young souls that need and deserve it.

"Ohh, you gonna read her a poem and cuddle?"

They razz at me. . .

"You bought her flowers?!?"

*****. . .

Yes I will, and yes, yes I did.

These are the same men who probably never saw
that special sparkle in a womans eye
that they all posses
and if you are not careful.
It just might burn right through you.

You were rudely awoken from your dreams of happiness
Like a reoccurring nightmare
That never seems to end

No matter how many diagnoses are made
Pills you take
And fake smiles you show
You can never wake up

It's like an addiction
Anything you can get your hands on
Anything you can do
You'll always find away
To sneak into the dark once again

You whisper the words
That your life revolves around
Between forced gags
And broken tears
"You should be better"

Oh, I want to tell you. Believe me, I do.
I want to tell you how much it all hurts,
and how I hear your heartbeat in the chorus of every song.
If I could only reach the depths of your mind you never let me touch
we wouldn't be in this mess in the first place.
I want to scream at you, trust me, I do.
I ache to let my rage reign at full capacity,
and give you hell that burns eternally.

I'm afraid if I let these words marinade in my hatred,
I'll become far too bitter a person.
And what if your taste never leaves my lips?
I want to ask you.

Here we are, though.
I'm not speaking, screaming, and certainly not asking.
I'll drown my sorrows in something shameful,
and pray you care to save me.
I want so badly to slit my wrists,
to give you the chance to forget I even exist.
to put myself out of this misery and finally be alright
to take the blade to my wrists and let the Demond's win this fight.
to add to the scars and marks
to make you see that I'm stuck here In the dark
to wipe this smile off my face and replace it with the look of death that seems to fit right in place
over a hundred times I've slid the blade and kissed the worries goodbye
I've let the blood drip from my arms and the tears stream down my cheeks and I've also ****** it all up in front of you, just to make you feel like you're doing something right.
I wish you knew how much you hurt me, just by glancing at her.
you don't want me anymore and I know it's true. so let me take a few more pills, maybe a few drinks of *****, hang myself up from this rope because it's the only way I know how to cope.

Gin. That’s where it starts.
The squinted eyes and mumbled speech
I go too far I know
I can barely see where I am going
and you cannot understand a word I say

But these are just a side effect of my confidence
which happens to come in a bottle
Do you think I’d be talking to you,
kissing you,
loving you, without the gin?
Of course not

Falling in love with strangers is the love I feel
So yes I need the gin.
I need the gin to be able to converse
and kiss
and go home with strangers
So I can feel something

You go ahead and find a nice boy who will romance you
But me, I’ll be leaning on a bar,
flirting with boys who buy me drinks

You go ahead and make love
i’m content with my one night stands.
I’m sure he could love me if he knew me

You go ahead and fall in love and get married.
I’m lucky, because you fell in love once
I fall in love every Friday night,

Saturday night… sometimes Wednesday nights

You see, for me, gin is love

It can take a second...a second to realize when your actions have created complete chaos and permanent damage.

A second to late, before your conscious kicks you in your sleep, Not allowing you to sleep at night

While your mind races, like it's trying to not crash at the Grand Pixs
like its running from all its well thought out mistakes, like it's escaping all it ever may have promised too commit.*

"Why do we make these mistakes? if we know the outcome of the cause?
why do we feign for the thought of despair and pain? Only to have self pity of what we have allowed to be lost?"

Judge me. Please. Judge me.

I need it every second, every moment.. as I walk the streets of this un controlled land
I won't dare stare back though, I won't ever judge the soul of another man...

it's not in my plans.

But neither were all my seconds I have lost where I've created so many mistakes.

A broken Heart, Painful tears, a perfect home in which my wrath caused emotional tremors from my earthquakes.

It took a second...It took a moment. Something else literally could of happened if I just thought things through...

but these moments weren't my fault at all, no...wait!

It was YOU!
wait...

twist
pull
rip
tear
repeat

the desk needs tidying
tea boxes scattered
focus on the bed
the comfy bed that
needs to be made
but no one can make you leave

pace 3 steps
you took four
back 5 steps

maybe an hour
in the comfy bed
yea, two hours

3 hours
rise
twist
pull

the desk needs tidying
class missed

pace 4 steps
be fair
back 4 steps

maybe a half hour
tear blanket from bed
but it is dinner time
rip skin

You made me stop believing
in who I was.
You slapped my *** with your shower caddy--
blamed it on invisibility
with a smirk and a wink in my direction.
I saw your reflection
in the hall mirror from the corner of my eye.
Your body was full and half-clothed,
your imagination molding me
as I stood there innocent
trying to view myself
the way you saw me.

It was a dark shadow you cast.
I bathed in your deception.
I saw my own reflection--
in my bedroom mirror at midnight
with your hands on the nape of my neck
and your fingers cradling my skull,
flattening my spine into
what you would fit into your figure.
There was your lips on my ear and I heard
a backwards whisper of a promise you swore,
you swore was true.
It wasn't--
and didn't like who I saw.

train lines scar them,
the trees decorate them,
slip a red watch around your wrist to hide them
in the commuter rush,
the office dash,
to wet-sidewalk-up-leg rain splash;
she's lost in the swell of New York City
with red wrists, a scissor's nettle rash,
and she'll sleep alone tonight.
