“rid me of the pain of being a beast, please”
the leaves don’t rustle even vaguely in my direction
since i fried them with a magnifying glass.
i wanted some sort of revenge to remind the soil
how it had given me the wrong body
with no claws and teeth plateaued oddly,
and no liquid through my oddly nonscaled hair

i didn’t mean to take out a missing piece on my own birth planet
but i can’t help but feel a bit wronged in this situation—please
drive me home now i would like to leave, the music’s too loud and
i drink drink drink myself to home and back but i’m always dry, i am

often you become bored with gorging yourself
with chocolate fingertips, preferring much her hand in marriage
but you never ask whether it be a digit gilded or cut
or whether the risk is for taking (i say **** up or shut up)

you don’t know the bruises of an ex boyfriend,
nor the shorthand breakup message she got out of the shower to:
picked up the phone and feel the blood rising only to have it all rush
to her stomach and push her lunch up

“she” is not me, you can’t treat her like
a paper bag practice round this time. treat the girl like fine ribbon
that tears at the slightest snare and melts at the longest stare
be not aluminum. be concrete, deliberate and always

There's a rumour goin' round
That you might or might not've said
I know it's just a rumour
But, it's running circles in my  head

You know a town of our size
Rumours travel through like fire
You're ****** if your involved in one
You say you're not, and you're a liar

There's a rumour flying here about
Of what I may have said
In response to the first rumour
That's just running round my head

I'm not sure if I said it
You see I'm not too sure
But, the rumour is I said it
Is it the truth or something more?

I remember playing telephone
As a kid, way back in school
When someone told you something
And you told the next person as a rule

The game was all a jumble
As the first phrase got all changed
It was my first  time hearing rumours
And how words are re-arranged

There's a rumour flying round the town
Of what you may have done
I hope that I was with you
It sounded like such fun

But, knowing how our town of ours
Can make a rumour fly
I'll not know If it was with me
Until the day I die

There's a rumour flying round the town
I think you may have heard
But, you will not hear a peep from me
Not one **** single word

There's a rumour....
Lost in dreams
Lost in reality
Lost in the past
Lost in things that didn't last
Lost in the pain
Lost in my mind;going insane
Lost in a lonely abyss
Lost, begging for a kiss
Lost in this world of fools
Lost in the guys using girls as tools
Lost in the hate
Lost in my search for an eternal mate
Lost in my search for love
Lost in my questions about what's above
Lost and I can't find my way out
Lost and so full of doubt
Was in a bad place
Water under
the bridge,

rolling
and
tumbling,

kissing
the river's
edge,

trees
bend
in a breeze.

A  lonesome
moon
calls out
to the stars
ignoring
their
true
light.

A *****
strikes
the earth,

over turning
a crawlers
night lunch.

A bottle
of ***
shared
by two

who steer
clear
of the fires
orangey
fingers.

Fingers
to fry
the catch
under
the
night's sky.
