We watch in horror at the inhumanity
Death and destruction, so many pleas for
Help that doesn’t come
Please!
What’s it gonna take to stop this from going on?
The world sits on its hands
We must not let the Ukraine fall
Prayers and guns for sure are helpful
But that’s not all
Let’s go NATO, stand tall!
Bosnia, Rwanda, Syria, just to name a few
Are reminders of what happens
When the world ignores the call
Humanity is being challenged
Build this needed wall

Dream vacation
Meant to be
This isn’t no dream
But reality
Fun and suds
Surf and sand
Me and the babe
Holding hands
Sun and mirth
Mai Tais and beer
Living the dream
Me and her
We disappear
Into the sunset
Into the night
So jocular
We never fight
Rather we smooch
Hold each other tight
On this dream vacation
Doin’ just right

Not all love is meant to endure
But ours is not entirely lost
It is embedded into a moment in time
Ever ours to cherish
Ever in my thoughts

Oh, we tried so very hard
Though we had to split apart
But that fundamental love we shared
Stays ever in our hearts

Which is why I often think of her
Those golden days of yore
She means so very much to me
Someone I still adore

In one sense we are over
But we still have a bond
She’ll always be my first true love
Apart but not gone

He should be me

I’ve got our yesterdays
He’s got the good times
I’ve got memories
They don’t do me any good
This ain’t the way to be

So I’m hurt, sad, and lonely
That’s no way to be
I look back in sorrow at who used to be me
When the sun shined on us
When life was a breeze

That thin line between fame and oblivion  
All of us somewhere
Between the spark
And death
It’s everything in between
Making a mark
Or trying to
Staving off the inevitable
