Suppose in summer
Mw Apr 2014
when winter thaws
and our delicate red noses
turn to gold
Again.
After years of solace
might you entreat a glance
from bewildered eyes
that sing songs of stolen years
and seasons past
and unrealized summers
ripe with ifs and
Suns,
and overgrown fields
to shield us from the world
and shiver in the wandering breeze
with that hands brush upon your
cheeks and long, summer arms
to whisk your hair about
in strained fits
to hearken lovers lips;
an entire tryst
In the ascendency of summer...

Self Portrait
Mw Aug 2013
How does it feel
With the whole of creation,
That bears heat of the sun,
And makes ideas real

Creation is naught
But a beaming self portrait,
Intended fully to fit
Our souls that we’ve wrought

We create from nothing
The glorious visage;
Our rite of passage
Into beautiful something.

The imprints of our soul most cleverly laid,
The blueprints of life are beautifully laid.

Backseat in Twenty

You slide your skin against my lap,

Moving fast, the visceral clap;

Your ******* in hands, on lips, the same,

Take pleasure with ephemeral pain.

Digging nails into my back,

You scratch without an inch of slack.

Sweat upon fogged up windows,

Between your legs I do impose.

20 there, and 30 passed,

***, and love, and life at last.
A [sad] attempt at ****** poetry.

Clouds in Space
Mw Sep 2011
Like stars upon the faded rim
Flowing faster, much colder, and worn thin.
Every cold, enveloped word spoke much quieter than this,
Hidden thoughts kept buried with each kiss
Hesitation slewn atop meticulous counting
Of seconds, and minutes, and hours surmounting
Every single day that has passed
Since the very moment I saw you last

Like slim and slender finger wisps
That sings like smoke that burn the lists
That sleet like snow that summer does miss
That slide like tongues into our trysts
That scars like cuts upon our fists
That slips like hands and palms on wrists
Do all my ears and eyes feel this.

Dissonance in cold maurauding sleep,
Announce the world the queen's to keep.

Coastline Chorus
Mw Jun 2011
Wake up, Wake up,
Go and tell the whole town
Martyrs in rest,
All wait for the sound
Of beating, beating,
Hearts with quick pounds,
Stay just too close,
And stay within bounds.

And I've got,
All this time,
So tell me,
Now.

I'm just asleep,
I've been waiting all this time,
I'd give you the world,
I would drop it on a dime,
Away, away,
All our dreams are at bay
Now.

I've got the whole coast,
All to myself,
I'm waiting for you,
To come off the shelf,
And join me, join me,
To revel in this life,
And pretend you'll be
My summ-er wife.

And it's been,
Only you,
Just give in,
Now.

Just so the coast,
Can go and kiss our feet,
Falling in love,
In the summer heat,
So sing with me,
Go and sing our melody
Now
3rd song I've written. It is incomplete, I still need to write a bridge. But I felt it good enough to publicize as is.

The Girl or the World
Mw May 2011
I dreamt you were in my head; in my world
Watching it all, walking around, like "Yo, what's the word?"
You mixed it up, moved **** around,
You were in my head, leaving nothing to be found.
You ****** it all up till it was all reversed
Leaving me here with nothing rehearesed,
And nothing made sense;
Cause up was down, blue was green, verbs were nouns.
There  was, lost in world,
All of this mess
All 'cause of a girl
Who became my world
Consumed me completely,
She rid of everything that WAS me.
Now, in my world, she was all that existed,
On tvs, windows, and books, I couldn't resist it
I watched every show, saw every scene, and read every book.
I thought clever thoughts and wrote clever hooks
And there  was in the middle of it all,
Holding on tight not wanting to fall
I was in love whether I wanted it or not
Cause she entered my head and stole every thought
All this trouble because of a girl
All this trouble cause she is my world.
Spoken word piece; meant to be heard, not read.

You! The happy, hopeless thing!
Touched by effervescent rings.
Aloud for all the world to hear,
My ears are yours to commandeer.
Intent and ripe with lover's lights,
I think I'll stay with you tonight.
In fields but open and unencumbered,
Hold up the sheets and do come under.
Spinning, spinning, life in line,
Remain in place, and just in time.
With stars and skies to stay the night,
Always know this could be right.

Epistle
Mw May 2011
I left my bedlamp on last night by accident because
I fell asleep writing to you.
When I woke up this morning,
I was alone, with the light on, and a blank page in front of me.
I looked and looked and looked
Past the pages we'd scribbled on
Our hopeless little lies and
Bed-ridden nothings that never got any better
That never did any favors, and never sought
Solutions for problems and shortcomings on days like the
Ones I'd missed where you were happy and you
Smiled like you meant it with
Grinning teeth across rosy cheeks with scarlet lips.
Every marbled, mangled, marveled page stripped and torn
With its own story to tell of another
Time we had that slipped away, right past us.
I found the last page you left me,
Creased and folded, waiting to be found:
"I'm sorry about this, and about last night
And for every night, actually.
Don't forget that I'll always love you,
And I'm sorry."
My first venture into free form poetry. Very different from my previous works.

Nemesis
Mw Apr 2011
Blast it! All the ******* clocks,
I'll die if I hear ticking tocks.
All the fleeting, thoughtful lips,
Breathing down the slender dips.
I know the sounds of morning dew,
All my looming habits threw
My books across a crowded room
To show our cold, impending doom.
All these clocks, this passing time,
In broken English lacking rhyme.
Alone, alone, alone but tell
The fragile boy's abandoned shell
To hold the thought in neurotic mess,
And wait to dare what he confess.

There they go, breathe down the necks
Of lover's lost too far to vex.

Intimacy
Mw Mar 2011
With sense, and summer's scent, heart sinks,
Another boon of fairy's whims and eye, methinks,
Intrepid scars fall on porcelain skin,
And curs'd lips talk of holds worn thin,
Of grasps too close, faces pressed in
To chests but soft, its longing cheek,
Atrophic want like loves do lovers seek.
But freed the lover's laden list,
Release the flowing lover's tryst,
...
Bruised, and bloodied, with toothless grit
The fearless lion's faces it.
My timeless body, strewn before you,
Revealing all it has to give,
And relinquishing all that's left to live.

Gatsby pt. 2
Mw Feb 2011
Oh, in step, of stair, and wry,
Spinning fast in brighter lights.
Gardens fast, the summer's grove,
Spent for you, and I alone.
Luminous night of stars so close,
All to touch in bigger dose.
In line for us, for you to see.
But still a chance to remember me.
Years and years, a drift, a way
To know the world's that you will see
Lips that shimmer, nails that glow,
In short, it's time that passes slow.
Sin from thy lips, the trepass but urged,
Whisper in reverie, all but unheard.
The clever three words, but told to me,
No secrets left kept of your final decree.

Conversations with Stars
Mw Jan 2011
Into the sun, full throttle now,
We're so far gone, we'll make it somehow.
In line, in love, in trust, i hope,
The latter is but a slippery *****.

Like stars, apart, so far away,
From truths to lies, I'll hear what you say.
Words are words, but trust depart.
You lean in close to hold my heart.

To brave hell measures not to this,
The love and intimacy: a shame to miss.
For you, I'd give, and hold without fear.
Now you will speak, and the rest I'll hear.
Mw Nov 2010
Desperately detached
I'm coming up on 2nd years
With more excuses.
You just can't get enough,
(You're starving, yeah)
You can't get enough.

You put me out.
I'm in without direction
I said I was in,(I know, I know)
I said to count me in, (I know)

I always knew what good could come of this
But you lost your spark, (You lost your spark)
... And then you played the part.

I know you always said it,
But it didn't mean a thing,
But I gotta go and get it (and get it, and get it)
I just had to go and get it (Yeah, I get it, I get it)
This is kind of different from my usual style. I don't know what this is just yet.

Death to the Dreamer
Mw Jul 2010
Now is the time, wake up, wake up,
The dreamer is lost,
Pay the toll, breathe in for luck,
Irreparable cost,
The price to pay for the King's cup.

He's dreaming, he's dreaming,
Is that what they said?
Stop repeating, repeating,
Please get out of bed.
Stumble on out, and cease your careening.

This is real, it's all so real.
Scars upon scars.
Upon your face, the skin feels,
The make up mars,
All in time to spoil the deal.

Lies and lies and lies and lies,
Strewn upon these bloodied hands,
Dies and dies and dies and dies,
Hung upon this devastated man.

Too Much
Mw Jul 2010
In time, in time, it comes to be,
This world is just too much for me.
I see stars and summer night skies,
But no hearts that it applies.

All respect,
And reverence due,
Eyes inspect,
A madness for two.
With confused intention,
And pigs with flight,
I want your attention,
With only one light.

Pictures in words, vibrantly so,
All in rhyme is apropos.
Alas, my love, my heart, my lie,
Torn asunder, regrettably wry.

Finale
Mw May 2010
The road, once one, becomes two.
They split and a choice is made
To live or die,
Withered and writhe,
It becomes you.

A heart, but fragile, is made anew.
Uncertain, unheld, I am afraid,
To live a lie,
Riddled with strife,
And madness for two.

Desires felt, and emotions to rue,
All in time, they had forbade.
To live by and by,
Coupled with indifferent blithe,
Deficio defero with you.

I need you here, but I don't want to.
I don't want to see you fade,
To live and lie,
Baffled by the compromise,
I still just want you.
Deficio Defero means 'failed communication' in latin.- From Babygirl

What do poets write,
When they have run out of words
To say they're hopeless?

At this point in time,
Hopeless poets write Haikus
Because they're simple.

And through all of this,
They hope no one notices,
Their heart is wrung dry.

And when Haikus fail,
They are even more hopeless
Than before 3 lines

Could even hope to
Describe the disparity
Of being hopeless.

It is hopeless to
Believe that love conquers all,
Because in this case,

It does not.

Of eager looks & charming hooks,
As lovers wrought in heavy books.
A glance of love for puerile days,
For children lost in starry gaze.
Youth and fervor, now cast aside,
But time since past this thrilling ride.
A time, a time, what murderous time.
Pacing forth within dull rhyme.
Poems written to tell tall tales,
But none to help what fails.
A heart with words that can't deliver,
The game she plays to go with her.

Poison
Mw Apr 2010
Words can't describe, and rhythm won't define,
Because this is intoxication of the worst kind.
With thoughts, and dreams of inimitable horror,
Falling faster, going lower and lower,
Reimagining disaster, in propia persona,
A life since led with a lifeless chroma.

The pain so great, unbearably wrought,
Ages are past, with heavy wars fought.
Buried so deep, within a heart fueled by steam.
Of Lies, and slander-- it is not what it may seem.
It's okay, I'm okay, We're okay, only okay.
It won't be true, not in the least, but it's what I say.

For friends are burdens kept, your desires held true,
I'll die every time, sink with each word, if but for you.

Second Chances
Mw Mar 2010
In this seat, this faltering row,
A heart since sunk, fallen so low.
Low to new depths, of trenches so deep,
Its love, relentless, left to keep.
Unreturned, immaterial fervor,
He has no choice, but yet to love her.

Alas, but this, the unkind breath,
The coup de grace to give me rest.
A thought so ******, so lavishly said.
Proposal in lieu, enough to comprehend.
I know, I know, it's lovingly so,
All but a threat to the world that we know.

To love again, grow ripe together,
To share our lives, our lust, and splendor.
A dream I've had, an idea at best,
Supposedly so; uncertainty detest.

Alas, a life so picturesque,
A heart so low in recompense.
In warmer weather, by and by,
A grass more green of which to lie,
Let it be, fortuitous blunder,
Of rhyme, or rhythm, and heartened wonder.
This reverie, or dreams of life,
The source of my perennial strife.
To want, to be, the least of these,
One that's fit, but for a King,
My heart adorned by your decree.
As beautiful as life can be,
The paint to spill upon your canvas,
Of blues and green by which to span this.

Vibrant expanse, a lovers tryst,
This world unknown, but yet to miss.

Aware, this stand, this spinning step,
My less than charming epithet.
In plain sight, my heart at best.
Alive and weary, with all the rest.
The dream, the dream, this waking dream,
Nothing is quite as it seems.
An anchored heart, a feather in air,
The love, in love, the irreverent dare.
I know, I know, it's all so numb,
Soothe your breast with the soft hum,
Of dreams, of light, and memories lost,
A curse to know its true cost.

Was it you that said these words,
That fall from lips to be unheard?
To reveal your heart, your blistering soul,
And come to me, to assume its role.
A vibrant dance, with forked tongues,
And a crowding darkness to shade the Sun.
The decision to be, a crossroads at best,
Of life, or love, I do detest.

In truth, I come to choose the latter,
To hope, and wish, "if I had her"
All these things that could have been,
This dark that strives to be unseen.
On light or dark, good or evil, in reverence to Hamlet's "To be, or not to be'.

Happiness
Mw Mar 2010
Listen softly, be very still,
Looking intently for a thrill.
Can you hear it, can this be?
The drum of hearts within a tree?
The hum of loves inside a box,
Behold its ever-changing locks.
These sounds are but a flutter,
Drift afloat like flies of butter.
In your stomach, there they'll stay,
Away away, these dreams at bay.
My love is all that you will hold,
And I'll keep quiet the things you told.
Wishing, thinking, hoping, breathing,
With you, all these are worth repeating.
Hold my hand, squeeze tightly now,
I'll kiss you soundly there somehow.
Hold me tight, regret release,
My sadness all the least of these.
Beating hearts and chesire smiles,
Wishing I could stay a while.
All of this and so much more,
Waiting now for what's in store.

Outright and forth, forgetful worry,
We'll go, but soft, and without hurry.
Away, away, you'll stay, I'll stay,
With all your thoughts and dreams at bay.

Behold the spurns of life and chance,
They turn, they turn, with happenstance
Heart asunder, light and blunder,
A cloth so right, I might come under.

My eyes reach far, my vision spread.
Crossroads of fire, where might it have lead?
To hell and back, paradiso once more.
I choose the one of ill-fated lore.

Unorthodox, and unkind, it yearns for life,
Calling for mine, unyielding strife,
For you, I love, the world I give,
Don’t let me die, but let me live.

Live more for me, than I for you,
I miss our nights, the things we’d do.

Dreaming Out Loud
Mw Feb 2010
This time you'll find me,
But what will you see?
I'm dreaming, I'm dreaming,
Can this all be?
My eyes will be closed,
And you will transpose,
The dreams that you held,The love that we had.
The dreamer, the dreamer,
What else would you add?
The setting is right, the timing is nigh,
And we will get by,
Amidst the sky and the stars, and infinity on high.
It's all but a veil draped above in the sky,
You lay next to me and that's when they'll say,
They're dreaming, they're dreaming,
By then you will sway,
Closer to me and that's where you'll stay,
We're dreaming, we're dreaming,
That's what we'll say.
We're dreamers, we're dreamers,
Don't bring the day.
The line 'the sky and the stars and infinity on high' is based on one of Vincent van Gogh's letters to his brother Theo.- From Babygirl
