Walking on ice
In the cold, foggy lights
With the dogs
It feels nice

Walking in my boots
My shoes have water in 'em
And I can't stop counting each step
I know the ice will break in the amber lights
When they saw the fire in veins
They watched in awe
As the cold in her heart thawed
And started beating again

The flies once buzzed around her face
Busily they went about
Turning every corner as they flew away
When her eyes became diamonds

But, no one believed
They felt the fire had consumed her
Her heart was once made of ice
She just needed to feel some warmth
It's nice
But, I don't know
Where
Are my friends
In the shadows of stone mountains
Down a fragile ancient road,
Past streams and dreams of glory
Lay a leader bathed in gold.
Haunted by the battlefields of his youth
The forgotten weight of halos old.
A poltergeist of progress
Found downed outside the zone.

Cast off by players unknown
Pretenders covet the Apex throne,
Where Aculites fight like demons
Exorcising respawn beacons
Necromancers in the Thunderdome.
While Tom seems indisposed,
Locked up and throwing rocks
Mocked by the gulag and the snow.
Though we really should have known
The esteemed leader was on his own,
His chute just would not open
Slowmotion to the sound of Chopin,
Commander falls just like a Stone.
What is this life?
Where beauty is judged by false eyes
What is the purpose of this unrequited love?
When the most beautiful thing
Is you and you cannot treasure it
Because society doesn't see it
The eye of the beholder is truly blind to the light
“Oh, hey! I didn’t see you standing there?”
“That’s a lie. You looked right at me..”
~
“Hey. You haven’t been talking to me?”
“Hey, I’m just checking up on you.”
~
Check all you want...
I won’t be there anymore.
