A poem is never the words you read
It's what's written between the lines
For the words can only plant a seed
To grow the emotion a word defines

A feeling trapped inside our hearts
Or maybe a place we haven't seen
The words are where emotion starts
But the meaning is in-between

For our words can never write a smile
But yet you know it's there
It has nothing to do with the poet's style
Or even the words they share

The words we write have a silent voice
That the poets call their muse
But interpretation is the readers choice
From the words we didn't use

Emotion is always the in-betweens
Our words are only the signs
To understand what the poet means
You must read between the lines
When I look in the mirror all I see is scars all I see is a girl , unfamiliar to me.
Who I see wears a mask to hide
Who she truly is inside.
I see a fake smile to hide her sorrow everyday, I see the scars
Everyday I see this girl and everyday people fail to see me, inside the fake she talks to me,
To keep her from going in sane.
All the while crying to heal her pain...
Escape
Can we please
Be released from the greed
Dip away from the world
Finally be at ease
Leave the gazes behind
Of all those who whine
Shut off the noise
Of the judging kind
Lets be in ecstasy
Without taking a pill
And do nothing
That's against our will
Create our dreams
And let our eyes beam
Trust ourselves
To find bliss
Take off the shelf
Our child's wit
Bask in the feeling
Of knowing your happy
Never be afraid,
of being too sappy.
