If there is somebody
I'd be calling.
when the ego is down,
as always when I am falling.

when the music is on rest,
and the marching band is on mute;
the art is still waiting,
you know I would call you

this spirit will follow you;
wherever you will be,
This love will guard you;
and set your soul free.

hoping to see you dwell
in my sight and mystic daydreams,
until the night turns to morning,
as we hit the road and smell some beans.

A splendid heart you've showed
this joy that is very much attached,
that awkward morning,
around this butterscotch

Without a eye,
you can see me way behind;
uplifting my mantra,
you free me from this daily grind.

There comes a beautiful point where you let go.
Words become insignificant and blur together like tongues of fire or grains of sand.
People stop being people. They stand idle and demanding  like traffic signs.
Everyday-- always there-- expecting you to understand their stupendous.
Once you've let go of individuality, and embrace all of this,
You'll rub your calloused hands together, now feeling-less from all those years of hanging on.
You'll wrap your mind around your neck like a plain scarf, ready to walk
Out into the freezing insanity that is apathy.
And it'll all be beautiful again.
Ways to make love work.
You must block all the others out.
Why look elsewhere?
If you have true love standing before you.

Take the blinders off.
And recognize the truth.
Your truest lover is always before you.
Only the fools realize it too late.

So , don't be that fool.

Wakeup in the morning and smile.
Alerting them to why?
Sleep good at night.
And smile about the blessing lying next to you.

Don't be that fool.
Crying when true love has walked out upon you.

Love is a treasure.
That we sometimes tries to measure.
When there really is no need.
When you're aware of your blessings.
Mirror mirror on the wall,
there is no fairest of them all.
Time moves on,
but people fall.
Everyone can lie,
reflections tell the truth.
Colors paint souls away,
flying on the clouds today.
Looking down into the river,
seeing what there is to discover.
Things you always wished you knew.
Though you may not know,
or understand what I show
so calm your thoughts for awhile
go outside and walk a mile.
Learn that the words don't even matter.
Just like in the looking glass;
the message changes,
as people pass.
Don't get yourself lost in the snow.
For each flake is individual;
beautiful and unique.
Don't fear the raven of the dark,
or the red-blood marks
on your memory.
Because everything leads to something.
All tied together by an invisible string.

Love is universal migraine,
A bright stain on the vision
Blotting out reason.

Symptoms of true love
Are leanness, jealousy,
Laggard dawns;

Are omens and nightmares -
Listening for a knock,
Waiting for a sign:

For a touch of her fingers
In a darkened room,
For a searching look.

Take courage, lover!
Could you endure such pain
At any hand but hers?

I take hold of your hand
not wanting to let go
my eyes start to water
beginning to overflow.
I drop down to the ground
I'm now on one knee
you know what's coming
"Will you marry me?"
Now your tears fall
you can't even express
you can barely manage
to say the word yes.
Now the wedding is here
we could hardly wait
to be together forever
twas our fate.
Our lips they lock
after the I do's
it's now time for the honeymoon
6 nights in Peru.
We've been together ten years now
I'm as happy as can be
but my happiness vanishes
when I awake from this dream.
I awake to realize
that I'll never have bliss
I'll be forever alone
with no happiness.

I inhaled sparks.
Because sparks are love.
And cigarette butts
Aren't sparks anymore,
Just papery ash,
But some have a few
Sparks left over.

I inhaled sparks
from the cigarette ash
Of a cigarette
Of a Giant.
In his station wagon
He saw me wandering
Down the side of the highway
Looking for that fix.
He rolled down his window
Tapped his cigarette against the edge
And spent sparks flying.
I waited as they
Floated towards my nostrils and
I inhaled sparks
That were actually ash
But I didn't know any better.
