They named what they feared, after me
They called it black
They named what they could not see, after me
They called it black
They didn't see their dark side, yet named it
They called it me

They smeared my face with guilt
They squeezed all worth out of me
They did all this and more
They won, almost...
We are partners in crime
I let them

I sweat blood for centuries
I looked down upon me
I gave up, almost...
I even tried being them
A shadow of shadows
I lost myself, almost...

I am mad no more
I live in a mirror house now, with them
We see other faces and smile, almost
We see what we didn't see
I am me
We are free, almost...

I had sent a smile your way,
Maybe it bumped into someone,
Can I just be me?
Only answer if it is a yes

They say flowers have a motive,
Bees and honey is an accident,
Mountain peaks and ***** flows,
Nature nurtures unconsciously

I don't trust my god
I can see part of me in him
Looking for an upgrade
My smile lost its way...

Where do I end and you begin?
The line in between is quite thin
Who divided 'us' into 'you' and 'me'
How different are he and she?

Zero creations from me so far
Can't attach my name to any star
No flower blossoms because of me
The sun always rises despite me

Our world is made up of walls
Every day humanity falls
A creator I think I am
It all looks a sham...

Me, my home, the world to me
Does it need a boundary, to be
Do my edges shape me?
Or without them I could still be?

Taking the baton from the past
The present just a moment does last
It dashes to handover to tomorrow
Missing it is my biggest sorrow

Why should my walls define me
Much beyond them I could be
Will 'I' not still be here
Scaling beyond them - death and despair

We divide just to define
Can't the process we refine
We fragment rather than create
Can we start with a fresh slate?

I once met an Englishman
I liked calling him Sir
for he was no ordinary Englishman
His name was Meta Phor

He loved his darling wife
though she dressed a bit silly
together they enjoyed their life
He and his Similie

In time they had a baby girl
naming her, got into a twirl
Ouch! Omanatopoeia was her name
Oh, what a shame, what a shame

Going to school it would pain
being called that , time n again
I wish she chooses a name anew
hope her parents she doesn't sue..

Have I met you before?
Your face is familiar
Is this your shore?
Do you live here?

I think I have read them eyes
I have danced to these heart beats
Have we shared many lies?
Have we sat in the same seats?

Who are you?
Why are you here?
Do you remember me too?
Can you your secrets share?

So cheerful are you, how?
Really happy from within
Your heart beaming with love
For self and for kin

She said, ' I am who you used to be',
Till you let life abuse you
'You ought to believe in 'me'
'I am and will always be, you!'

I wrapped her
so tightly around me
even air gave way
to our togetherness

It felt great
for a while
till we reached
the crossroads of 'us' and 'her'

She tip-toed 'her' way
and I realised
I had been
mummified...
