August
in my dreams and idle violence
I imagine that I’m loved and lovely,
that she rests upon my chest in silence,
her breath testing the finiteness
of my heart that ticks defiantly.

so tricky are these fickle dreams,
I hear no real beat beneath my bones.
where the river goes, so do the boats,
and daylight has decreed
that we are gone the way of ghosts.

Afraid to let go
I still remember falling
From your arms before

guy scutellaro
some
float
up

slowly

the wind taking his hair
the wind blowing through him
skin and bone
the wind whistling through his teeth

some ride into the abyss

some are bounded
to cling to the earth,
rock and soil

some hang on to the edge

some ride the wild wind
into the Abyss

some see the river and fish

some rise up
when the lonely one asks for the them

does the abyss wait for you,
or did an angel come for you, brother

and if the earth is but a grain of sand
in the vastness of all the grains of sand
on all the beaches of an unfolding soul
drifting into the ripples of time,

I need to know, Lord?

the box

my brother on the dining room table.
ashes and memories.

Where he walks
Flowers bloom-

Beyond the Ox,
Trod in splat

Each seed and tree
Throws colour on

Universal Blank.

O blanket of Stars
Eternity beckons,

Your sparking Eyes
Shine

This body is the
Flower of the Soul,
Critical Mass desirous
Of Being.

No shame in the Flower,
Full blooming or
Fading,
Petals droop, running to
Seed.

The End comes swiftly,
Nitrogen gravitates to
Tuber.

O Flowering Soul,
Dead and Alive-
Your Beauty fumes as
Spirit to Sky

Woken by orchids
Kissing my ear-

Found the moon had fallen
Into a puddle.

Unexpected overnight rain-
And with moon departed
And orchids ******* puddle

Within my pain
I wonder

Will we ever witness
Such a night again?

Tipped a bucket of words
Down the Well,

Echo calls:

"Soon to be forgotten"

How strong is the rope?
