The more you get to know someone
The more you realize
That you never really knew them
In the first place
What does it matter
If you can see their face
That doesn’t hold much meaning
When it comes to friendship
What significance does a picture hold
When you can’t even watch
That person’s life unfold
What does it matter
If you can say a bunch of words
That doesn’t mean much
If their voice is unheard
Friendship is about being there
Being there in the flesh
Getting to hang out
And see if your personalities mesh
Distance separates many people
Yet a real relationship
Can still be formed
But only if
The right precautions are met
They talk throughout the day
They’re honest and truthful
About everything, in every way
They talk on the phone
Comforting the longing
Making it feel like home
Real friends are real people
It takes real work and effort
To create something that isn’t feeble
From now on
I’m only interested
In focusing on the relationships
That I know can withstand
A lifetime

The alphabet jumble,
Became quite a Jungle.
Where letters fight,
Just to survive.

The A's against the Z's,
Like west against the east.
The vowels rule,
This grammatical feud.

There are few rules,
In this anarchic dispute.
Like I before E,
Except after C.

But two letters did stray,
So far away.
In this world so confused,
Love had found its muse.

They left their contempt
They shed their hate.
And they became immortal,
As our stories do say.

These two young lovers,
Are remembered still.
For together they defended,
What hate tried to ****.

And that is how,
Our story begins.
For that's what happened,
When I met U.
i have always read people
like i read a book
i have always known people
like i know the palm of my hand
i can smell *******
from a mile away
it's unfortunate
because this day in age
everybody is a liar
nobody is real
and everybody seems to lie
about how they feel
they do it to either
watch their own back
and not seem like a horrible person
or because they are a coward
either way
there are very few out there
that are trustworthy
and i don't think
i know any
i'd rather someone tell me to ******* instead of pretend to want me around.

In Poetry, nothing is a mistake
For a poetess, the paper is the strongest stake
Which allows her to sculpt her mind's hunger,
Ever-lasting, bittersweet and opaque.

In Poetry, no plot is a sin
You are free to voice your imprisoned thoughts
where, to your own little land of dreams and nostalgia,
You are the invincible king.

In Poetry, you discover all those astonishing things
which stranger eyes cannot see, they're blind
So you use them to build your halo and wings
with not a single competitor around you who clings.

In Poetry, you are a free human
where no one would ask you to work.
In your land, you work with imaginary crewmen
and their company will never cease you to smirk.

Inspiration is everywhere.
It is so hard to cope
With the loss of you
You treated me
Like I was priceless
As if I were a true queen
Your words, care, and affection
Ran through me
Like blood runs through my veins
And now that you are absent
It is as though
I'm lifeless
Nothing sustaining my body
No person or thing
Can make my heart beat again
No experience
Can ignite the passion in my soul
As you used to do
There is no one as intellectual as you
My mind is under stimulated
Since I lost you
I've been living on auto pilot
Living a lie of a life
Not reaching my goals
Or even attempting them
A permanent state of apathy and indifference
Towards what the world has to offer
To me, there's nothing without you
I can't move on from what we wanted to be
What we wanted to accomplish
Together as a unit
And now that death
Has separated us
I don't have much of a purpose
Anymore
Other than to have faith and hope
In the idea that there is an afterlife
And that I may get to see you
On the other side
Nearly two years since his passing. Rest In Peace, heavenly angel.

Every twinkle of every star,
Another point upon the canvas.
A speck, a dot, oh my perception!
It cannot understand the vastness.

A light, so strong, raw energy,
Reaching me across it all.
Ten trillion miles and countless years,
All culminating in this call.

A thirst for greatness, every dot,
My aspirations feeling heavy.
The twinkles there are my call,
A reminder to set me free.

What lies the love bestowed upon,
By each single burning star?
What inspiration can I derive,
When I am here, so far?

I feel their strength, though remote,
Hidden through seeming innocence.
For here they seem nothing more,
Than each tiny, finite resistance.

But alas their size, nay, my perception,
Grants not mirth but awe.
For I know them as they truly are,
Power, glory, impunity; nature in the raw.

They inspire and define me,
For they reveal our insignificance.
But then again, that one perspective,
Grants my will and steely confidence.

And so I gaze, daring but to dream.
I know them all as they are.
Where I one day will be:
Floating, flying, free and far.
Life's pleasures painfully pass leaving,
Foreign feelings to fulfill my fantasies.
People plagues themselves - profound professionals.
Lonely Love is our generations epidemic.

Mission is to make money and misuse morals,
Serving success somberly on silver spoons.
Indulging in insecurities is hard work,
Dumb decisions is our generations epidemic.

Love is a limp language, lust's legacy is forever,
Trash transcends to trends, don't tech the toddlers.
Confusing emotions corrupt my kindness.
Selling selfishness is our generations epidemic.
O ye who travel the meridian line,
May the vision of a new world within you shine.

May eyes that have lived with poverty's rage,
See through to the glory of the awakening age.

For we are all richly linked in hope,
Woven in history, like a mountain rope.

Together we can ascend to a new height,
Guided by our heart's clearest light.

When perceptions are changed there's much to gain,
A flowering of truth instead of pain.

There's more to a people than their poverty;
There's their work, wisdom, and creativity.

Along the line may our lives rhyme,
To make a loving harvest of space and time.

It's not that you should care,
I just wanted you to know.
Now with the story told,
It is time to go.

Changing words change again,
Here I change for someone else.
Altercations to be avoided,
Placing words upon a shelf.
