I am very passionate about the object of my heart's affection
I try to get the message over that I am enamoured of your flame
But often I get slapped down for going my passion's direction
For having loved I have nevertheless been made ashamed
Thinking, ruminating on the ******* form of Beauty
At least that's how you have always appeared to me
You and your sermon are my spirit's entreaty
That beseeches, implores my mind mesmerisingly
The perfect opportunity of Love I often destroy
For ignorance of how to give perfect care
In my moods I fall and fall, like Troy
Attesting to my spirit's shame and the poverty there
But still I'd love to love and love again
With one who can teach me how to make amends
Megan Sherman May 2017
I do not waste my heart,
Because there isn't time,
Besides it isn't even yours,
So return it when you come,

Put a flower in it,
And make it happy smile,
It wouldn't sink, if it could think,
Of freedom for a while,

Now we are as cold,
As enemies, in vain,
I battle the ghost of my passion,
Which blossomed bright for lovelorn rain.
Megan Sherman Feb 2019
Bewildering, a torrent rages,
Inbetween the bone cages,
Of my heavy head and empty chest,
I yearn for those rare moments I appreciate I'm blessed,
Instead of chasing meanings,
Threading together conspiracies,
The greatest conspiracy,
That you may be cruel,
I'm not that much of a fool though,
To really think that for too long
But just long enough
That hell breaks loose
Megan Sherman Dec 2016
I drift and drown in dreams of thee
Summoned from treasure-chest of Mind
Although not yet harnessed to reality
The dream was splendorous and kind
It left a sheer, serene sensation
Like running riot in the rain
It triggered heartbeats’ echolocation
That mutual refrain
I feel my life is better for having been
Opened to all that’s in your world
Inside the enigma of your soul I’ve seen
In my heart affection swirled
Megan Sherman Jun 2018
I drifted in a dream
Beyond this mortal realm
A vision bright, supreme
Of goddess at worlds' helm
No day more true or good
As one gave me her Truth
A Heaven in a flood
With Beauty rare forsooth
I'd climb every mountain
To find her once again
Drinking at the fountain
Of sublime, cherished friend
No mortal illusion anymore
I walk softly to God's golden grove
Decipher the Heart's mysteries
Knowledge true on which spirit rove
Megan Sherman Apr 2023
I drown in the waters of my sleep
And in those depths pray my soul to keep

When the darkness of evil establishes itself
In minds recesses, detrimental to my mental health

I survey the tides, in harmony with the moon
A source of optimism, like a lucky rune

The moon a defaced pearl, a darling girl
The ace to sunshines king, her mysterious beauty unfurl

To thee I’d sing and harp upon on ancient lyres
Stoke the blaze of ancestral fires
Megan Sherman Nov 2016
I dwell beyond the well worn track
In thickets overgrown
Where the multitudes of nature
Reveal multitudes unknown

Beneath the cosmic canopy
That mystical frontier
Beyond which we can’t comprehend
Its truths so strange and queer

Its spirit speaks in thunder
That the human rarely hears
So closed in heart and mind
They build a wall around their ears

It makes me think if solitude
Would make us wonder more
I almost think we’d save our souls
If we would hear God’s roar
Megan Sherman Feb 2021
If any magic could equal that potent spell

Of your own spirit, which I observe thankfully

The world would be redeemed of hell

Seeds of Heaven by magic plant carefully

My Heart, sensitive to passion, makes

Fierce fire in mimicry of your divine light

Enchants my sight with sublime Beauty that takes

Me captive, and therein my soul's flight
Megan Sherman Feb 2021
I felt a spark inside my Heart
The jolt, ecstatic surge
Did my repressed passion start
Dare I satisfy Love's urge?

Spark violate the stupor
Begun in heartache past
I do not dwell there anymore
To cherish you I must

Electricity's commute
From body to the brain
Gives you a loyal salute
As passion cascades, rains

Rare creature tell me, if you feel
As ardently as I
My feelings suffice to be sung
In the Poet's cry

'Twas in our destiny to meet
Draw nearer, till we kiss
I walk now on much surer feet
That cleave a path to bliss
Megan Sherman May 2017
If I could I'd hide myself within the heart
You wear on your lapel
You, in a moment, would feel love,
A feeling deep as wells.
I hide myself within the heart,
You wear on your lapel,
But fading, ever fading soft,
In my box off to the chapel.
Megan Sherman Aug 2017
If I could - I'd take all time
To immortalise thy grace - in rhyme
If I could - I'd traverse Earth
To seize thy Heart for immutable worth
If I could - I'd raise my voice
In your sublime touch rejoice
But I cannot - our Hearts not wed
That callous smear of what you said

If you would - would you give care?
Shroud me in a loving air
If you would - would you too sing
For us! Most cherishable of things
If you would, would you give
Let me in your generosity live
But you would not - for do you care?
For Heart! And what consists in there

I think we ought to go away,
Soar, take flight in brighter day
Megan Sherman Oct 2020
If I should wake to song of God
And rapt in awe I be
I would feel the moment
Of Eternity

To Heaven ferried on tune divine
I go in fits of glee
And I felt the moment
Of Eternity
Megan Sherman Apr 2017
If paths that be cleft be cleft forever,
Allow me not to feel bereaved,
I know that day has come already,
Cloaking me in pains and stresses,
My sight of you is gone,
But rainbows shine in spite of faith,
And suns blaze in spite of eyes embrace,
So you live on,
Your truth written lucid on the sky,
For time brighter and fuller,
Pure is the heart that hurls itself,
Imporing, begging a friend to mend,
The dented diamond divulged by a friend's dream,
Which the voyager doth hold in low esteem.
Megan Sherman Jul 2020
If we are sum, then surely we are one
If ever I compare thee, then to sun
As sure as love is light then it is you
The aura of thy heart, resplendent hue
I cherish thee more than can convey
For blessing of thy spirit I have prayed
Thy Beauty such that gold cannot compare
To thee, my love, your passion pure and rare
A gift from Heaven, sent to be my guide
To you and only you I do abide
Megan Sherman Dec 2016
If you should die before we speak
And Death separates our selves
And Time goes on without you
Our grief as deep as wells
I'll regret to have neglected
To mention what you meant
But by Death you were intercepted
Before your life was spent
Megan Sherman Aug 2021
I had a heartbreak bad as hell
That left me under doomful spell
The pain I nursed with anodyne
Cleansed my soul as if soaked in brine
Since then I am a lot more lost
Whoever knew that love had cost
It winded me and broke my wing
After passed the dawn of spring

When he packed his bags and left
My spirit hollow and bereft
His patience snapped, it did not bend
And therein passion came to end
My spirit doth withstand the gale
Swept over me and sent from hell
Depression's spectre raid the nest
Inside my Heart, which laid to rest
Megan Sherman Feb 2021
I had the honour - of heavenly touch
A glory crowning life
Blisses known to angels
Quelled my heartache, strife

An insight into infinity
The angels gave me free
And I felt the moment
Of eternity
Megan Sherman Aug 2017
I had the keys to every secret -
Ever known - except the worst -
But divining evil I adorned amulet against he who -
Tried to have fate - destiny - rehearsed -

To babes weaned in the brimstone -
Why did the tyrant have thee cursed?
Can destiny be done in royal Prussian blue?
That disdains people's red.
Megan Sherman Aug 2017
I hail thee in sweet salutations
That serenade thy soul
Fathom you in divinations
That conjure and enthrall
Through medium of Music
Your mesmerising Beauty sings
Like a bonny Rainbow
An infinity in rings
Megan Sherman Dec 2016
I have a little secret joy
Most coveted of treasures
Consists in it my happiness
A plethora of pleasures

My little secret joy is Love
Its divine Philosophy
The simple sum of kindred souls
Sweet Serendipity
Megan Sherman Jul 2018
I have a Love in Heaven hatched,
The fire there, the flame stoked, and watched.

I nursed the light with sweat and blood,
Till to ends of Earth it flood,
And takes the babes up on God's wing,
As they whistle, as they sing,
On golden zephyr aspiring,
Grafting, never tiring,
For Love! It not a fickle thing,
Committed to its sacred ring,
For Love is life and life devotion,
Pure, and deep, and rare. As ocean.
Churning in incessant motion,
O Love! Hearts' glorious commotion!
Megan Sherman Aug 2021
I have no other Love
Than thee, a treasure pure
I offer up my Soul to thee
Thy boast a deep allure

Eden? He plant a flower
In the garden of my Heart
Has deep, seductive power
Potent as magic dart
Megan Sherman Mar 2017
I heartbeam at the universe
And throw off existential curse
Ebullient with cosmic joy
Ravishing pleasures sweet and coy
Acquired from Nature's purse

The heartbeam goes, from me to you
Through my heart a warm breeze blew
For having seen a soul so true
From deepest passion I take my cues

I live without regret or rue
And in the world I bubble, stew
The heartbeams are stronger than evils trance
Enamoured of the heavenly romance
I beam from me to you
Megan Sherman Dec 2016
I heralded that first flower
Resplendent in the Spring
And hearkened to the Robin's tune
Her stunning carolling

I thought there is no mortal joy
Comparable to this
The tune without words deploys
The most beatific bliss

I dared not interrupt her
For fear that I might startle
Her delicate, timid soul
And end her tender warble

I could not bear a world
Where I would be denied to swoon
To Nature's passionate music
Lifting souls like a Balloon
Megan Sherman Feb 2017
I just feel very strongly
Overwhelmed by emotions
I think you judged me wrongly
Enamoured of prejudicial notions
I am just unstable
I don't know how to cope
That's why I angrily babble
And make plans to leave, elope
Don't tell me I am things I'm not
You don't know me very well
For all I care our bond can be left to rot
Because you've not known me long enough to tell
You jumped to brazen conclusions
Presumptuous and rude
I guess you've never known devotion
So of course you wouldn't perceive that my spirit had brewed
You just want to indulge your ego
So its rich of you to call me vain
You think you're above it when you punch down low
And enjoy begetting pain
So make with haste to leave my sight
It's enamouring no more
Out you go, and now I know
To lock and bolt the door
Megan Sherman Aug 2017
I know it - vain - to plead for Love
When others - more bereft of it
But on darkling thought - I rove
That Love is leaking away - in bits
For my masochistic moods
Manufactures mundane misery
The burden - of contrition
Outweighs my joy and glee
All see my misdemeanours
And call out - angrily
But I do not seek attention
It's you who chose seeing me
Megan Sherman May 2017
I know you are an angel now,
I know you rest beyond,
But time can never bludgeon love,
Or make a bond less fond,
Angel is a fate that fits you well,
I wonder if you're resting there,
Laughing loud and cursing hell,
Chatting, smoking on your chair,

But, I think, you will not cease,
You will not stop or rest,
Till you see your kin at peace,
So with your light we're blessed
Among us you go with gentle treads,
Healing us with loving light,
Weaving golden magic threads,
So our souls may take flight.

Even though we're separated,
And are not, in body, together,
By sending us God's messages,
To guide us through the day,
So we can be strong, going on our way,
In Love we are one forever.
Megan Sherman Dec 2016
I lived for Justice - but in vain
For she had been vanquished
By the defenders of the Satanic realm
Who banish us to anguish

I question, query, inquire
In to their malevolent schemes
They dampen the souls fire
And suffocate our dreams

And so I implore God's children
In missives to their souls
To rebel against the cynics
Who have them caged in walls
Megan Sherman Feb 2017
I live in imagination
And sometimes the spectre wins
Turning me against truest friends
The most shameful of my sins
But only in deepest dreams is it possible
To see what life can truly be
Which is why the dreamworld takes it holds
Enchants and captures me
If only I could see, discern
What's fake and what's a prism on the real
I guess in time I will learn
And the light of truth I'll feel
     Imagination is gift and curse
But Imagination is the spirit's purse
Megan Sherman Feb 2017
I'll give you hell for thinking
You'd make an example out of me
I guess you thought my brain was nought
And I'd be baffled in mystery
I guess you were never counting
On my percipient perception
I rely on intuition
To guide me in Truth's direction
The cosmic joke is that you think
All of us but you are bad
When it's you who dwells in the bars of the mind
That are vain, pathetic, sad
I threw my heart at you in joy
You threw it away in disgust
Of the nature of your esteem for me
I generally got the ******
It's sad to know, as I go
That this was a mirage
Back I go, to and fro
Around the spirit's cage
It doesn't pay me well to dwell
But I'll probably rue
The loss of the illusion
That our kinship was pure and true
Megan Sherman Dec 2016
I'll show you all my secrets
Their place is in my soul
Where my mysteries are harvested
Like apples in the fall
Megan Sherman Dec 2016
I loved him, and I live to tell
That I soared angelic and fathomed hell
Musing on my Love
And now I am most different
For that feeling most magnificent
On which I roved

And now I'm banished from his care
It was perfect to dwell in there
To be brushed by generosity
But he's baffled by my moods
And my foulest words, so crude
And we're destined to dwell in animosity
Megan Sherman Feb 2017
Yes, I Love for you, but I'm not your fool
You will not have me under acquisitive thumb
Yes, I Love for you, but my feelings are cool
To the melody of my own spirit I'll hum
Yes, I Love for you, but don't be deceived
Chasing an ego is boring
Beneath my false self you didn't perceive
So you stupidly started ignoring
Go on then, pursue the direction of your Heart's bliss
It's righteous, truest course
But if it directs you to other kiss
Don't expect me to feel remorse
Yes, I Love for you, but I'm not your fool
I'm not the puppet on Man's stage
My dying Self you didn't respect at all
Then in spite of your arrogance I rose again as sage
Megan Sherman Aug 2017
I love nature dearly
Her treasures are sublime
All her tender creatures
Metamorphose through time
Some theorise that evolution
Whilst others reason God
Suffice to say that either way
Her genius I applaud
Megan Sherman Dec 2016
I made my breakfast - Drank my tea
And visited the woods
The spirits came out to meet me
Trespasser in their neighbourhood

They are most mischievous
Purveyors of divinest fun
You feel for having felt them
That you've been touched by Sun

Dwelling beyond my senses
Living imperceptibly
They lure me with their music
That knells out heavenly
Megan Sherman Mar 2021
The ether not yet harnessed to form

By irrepressible thought, the mind's art

Conceptions as pure as the Lord's Heart

Dreamt by the free, wandering intellect

The force of dreams moulds reality

Life filtered through the prism of mind

Borne aloft to destiny refined

By imagination powerful in awesome totality
Megan Sherman May 2017
In a daze, was it a daze?
It was real, oh so real,
Clear as day, it was clear as day,
I felt an Angel's glow behind me,
Tap me on the shoulder,
I could hear him speak,
In the kindest voice, say his name
Spirits glide inside, two lights collide

Be in a daze, be in a daze,
The world was all enchanted,
Clear as day, it was clear as day,
The world was supposed to be this way,
Borne aloft on an ocean of light,
I took flight, took soul's flight,
I could hear him speak,
In divinest music, those sounds,
That make the head spin round and round.
Megan Sherman Aug 2017
I make a delegation to -
All hitherto deceived souls -
Who blame exclusive on only mute -
The evil chanted - the mind appals -
You were not properly informed -
Could not give consent -
The conjuror evokes visions deformed -
For which my soul repent -
Please face up to hear the truth -
Get drunk upon her nectar -
Indulge her beauty rare forsooth -
Lie transformed in to inspiring picture -
Megan Sherman Dec 2020
I met an angel dancing in the night
He offered kind to take me on his way
Immortal Beauty shroud in celestial light
With him I sure rejoiced in Heaven's day

His voice was kind, his Nature gentle, sweet
On holy ground us two were sure to meet
A union conceived in the divine
To the path of righteousness we align
Megan Sherman Dec 2016
I'm the Other Woman - I'm done with that
That melancholy state
I'm suspended on string - I'm over that
It makes me most irate

How baffling his attitude
Behind it Ego lies
I think I'll be six feet under
Before he'll realise

That we could have lived in comfort
Instead he bore me pain
Bereft of love's sweet carolling
That mutual refrain
Megan Sherman Aug 2017
I must have slumbered through the sermon -
Till it's cruel creeds - knocked - at my mind -
I - convulsing - hated it at once -
Drunk on a poison wine -
'Twas unlike any other pain -
Which - convulsing - I had felt -
Spirit - sore - contused -
Inflicted with weals - welts -
I'm glad I'm foreign to that law -
For which he sings - inspired -
I peeped inside my self to find -
A spirit which for freedoms strived - dared -
The piety of evil hurt me -
But t'was not a pain new -
The devil had so often tried -
To steep me in struggle - rue -
Now I ascend the staircase -
In to a Heaven dreamt -
To free sweet bird from evil word -
Suffice only to taunt and tempt -
Megan Sherman Aug 2017
I must not abide by fools
Because there isn't time
Besides my hearts keys are captive
To the one who divines my rhyme

The Saints protect their fools
On the sweet seismic ship
Love's riot articulate
On little luscious lip

Demanded of the Lover
Passion - for it a babe implores
Her beauty rare as a clover
Irresistible to adore
Megan Sherman Feb 2017
O treasure, how sweet and sharp thy shine
Your place is in the heart divine
Where faith and fire dwell aside
With a Love that's deep and pure and wide
Akimbo to the sun I fathom Love
And hear aura which rings around, above

O treasure, thou have no price
Your burgeoning bounty is suffice
To stoke the soul to do its work
And on its true vocation embark
Veering towards heavenly destination
Where the human heart is in gestation
Megan Sherman Aug 2017
I never knew how blessed love could be,
Till he adorned my heart in charity,
Bestowing generosity of spirit,
Truth of love cross hearts chambers writ,
Giving angel aura unto it,
He hath the key which in its dark hole fit,
Opening its doors unto the light,
Suffice for poets heart to swoon in flight,
His beauty and his passion doth ignite,
The fury blaze in me so hold on tight,
As we soar past stratosphere in to the stars,
For which I write sweet, sonorous, and swell bars,
Frolicking like children under sun,
Akin to heart in which fierce fires runs,
Your love bears me aloft, whirls me to space,
To sing with angels of the human race,
They have in them the light of love apace,
Shining forth from art forms of a face,
Against him no sad curse and no mean fight,
He only man I haste to interdict,
From the soiled pastures of my heart,
Plagued by demons who made of ruin wicked art,
Their curses and their sermons quick impart,
Poison as if from rancid tainted dart,
But I banish demons from my thought,
Engage instead in Loves mutual rapport,
And towards new day we duly start,
He redeemed my art, so I give heart.
Megan Sherman Nov 2016
A heart is an infinite flower
Imbued with deep and mystic power
For in each beat love is notated
In hearts our passion syncopated
Touched only once by cherub’s darts
Every heart is filled with sparks
Blossoming like Jacaranda
Hearts long to live and meander
Beating for the passers by
Friendly hearts are alibis
A deep and most exquisite art
Is the humble, human heart
Megan Sherman Dec 2016
Infinity is immutable
Creation manifest
Through seemingly mundane matter
Run the fires blessed

Chaos weaves a tapestry
As we muse upon the sky
An infinity of multitudes
Go whirling, waltzing by
Megan Sherman Dec 2016
Infinity – is made of atoms
‘Tis like an endless tapestry –
Stretching in all directions
In longitudes for Eternity

From solitary molecules
To entire superstructures
The building blocks of the cosmic scene
Articulating Natures

Without seam – or stitch
Or rip upon the textile
The matter of the multiverse multiplies
Making Eternity fertile
Megan Sherman Feb 2017
There is nothing on Earth as beautiful as a pure heart beating
Dedicated to its righteous and truest vocation
Which stands it above and sets it apart
From the purveyors of fear and trepidation
To wallow there is not sinful or wanton
For it enamours us of the deepest divine
Over the plains of Soul I hold truth's lantern
O sweet, this luscious light of mine
I've read the book of Heart and feel
Enchanted of it's joys and blisses
The indelible, ineffable truth of Love is real
When magic strikes it never misses
O beating hearts, you are beheld
In awe, in Love our spirits weld
Megan Sherman Nov 2016
Consider Socrates, sauntering through Athens
Testing his thoughts and his tales on the throngs
And think of the first moment of perfect insight
they had. From this guru who’d made Reason his song!
There in the crowd balanced wisdom and madness
But there were those who were raged by a rebellious creed
Thinking of innocent youth, corrupted with gladness
They fought to bring Socrates to death for his deeds
that threatened the state. All admire her name!
Athens collapses in to panic. The jury assembles
To decide whether Socrates is to blame
For the corrupted thing the youth resembles
See the lawmakers bring justice to her knees
As fate chooses Hemlock for Socrates
Megan Sherman Oct 2017
In New Baghdad the empire's King
A stately edifice decree
Make civilisation ransacked thing
Riches rule dominion, no longer free
No flower dome like Fuller sketched
But concrete box for captive souls
Lost dream of heaven, fierce beauty etched
Times tyranny hath mind appalled
Sea neath stolen sun for which Coleridge wept
Jilted, jaded sky beat by flame that restore soul
Will back to glorious sheen be painted, swept
For life had been bought and bartered, to bosses sold

The flora couldn't grow uptight
Rains rusted the bars, didn't feed
The captive bloom bereft of light
Whose commute to mind tyrants did not decree
But astute hearts attuned to joy
And doth arsenal of Heart employ
Will seek logic of Love not to love logic
See instead intuitions awesome magic
Instructs not by diktat, edict but stokes doubt
In all we don't examine whilst devout

Natures truth defy skeptics scalpel
Underwritten by rhythms wide, galactic
When dissected her truth does fast unravel
Beauty subsumed to reasons tactics
If we let her in her awesome dress
Dazzle us her splendour teasing hearts
Away from hell hatred imparts
In to enchanted climes where epics start
All manacles will yield to strength
And sisters rove free at wanton length

In new Baghdad, the last King gone
But barons maraud with freedoms key
Whilst soldiers dumped on streets, help gone
And go to ISIS, so pledge "we"
How ever did this problem rise
Where people become pawns in the game
Which topples a collective sky
In which the future shines happily aflame
So alike, fake philosopher kings
They lied, pretended to be enemies
But both Blair and big brother have guerrillas as things
When we are all like worker bees!

The honey ours, not theirs to taste
Share with bears, they are our friends
Friendship must be nurtured, chased
Say sorry often and make amends
For tyrant has us thinking of
Our differences and faulty traits
When passions we share and interests hath
Solitary the soul who hates
Link arms, uprise against devils lies
Suppress hell with angels reprise
