In summers of my mind

I felt a nascent Love

So pure that it astonished me

Beau as a turtle dove

Time and Love both intertwined

By Heaven's philosophy

True unity of Heart and divine

Shames fake affection's sophistry

I smiled - "How great this be!"

Reality a sublime dream

Decorated by Love's grand artistry

That mezmerizes, gleams

Now happiness is no pursuit

But the destination I enjoy

Dreaming and dwelling in heavenly cahoots

For an eternal day

The shuttle going in to space
Is intelligence incarnate
The apotheosis of the human race
A quest for knowledge insatiate

Incredible to think that Man
Was placed on the Moon by thought
An answer generates more questions
For which more answers are sought
Megan Sherman Mar 2017
Across the ancient shimmering sands
Blows the medley for all lands
Uniting all with exquisite blare
In which the babes of the earth doth share
Swaying their heads and clapping their hands

This is the song. Hear how it flows
Consists in it a truth that grows
To which we are wed and betrothed
In it the light of justice shows

To vanquish evil as it crows
Banishing mortal fears and woes
The song is ours, we sing it loud
Rejoice in voice that is sure and proud
That hath all ears rapt in throe
Megan Sherman Mar 2021
In the carnival of time, worlds are abloom

Stars blaze on in song in the cosmic jamboree

A revelry to raise the spirit, stoke the soul

And fill the heart with sparks and glee
Megan Sherman Mar 2017
Across the fertile, blossoming planes
Sings music in enchanted refrains
Coming from the cosmos above
Beau as a turtle dove
Whose beauty by god ordained

The dreams our ours. They wont be killed
Despite the Devils who have shilled
To torture us with evil skilled
But our reprieve the bards have willed

The soils of magic we have tilled
To get to the bottom of the truth, it chilled
But truth is ours, we bear it high
And swing the torch around the sky
And look at us, we're thrilled
Megan Sherman Feb 2017
In the fullness of time the Truth runs clear
To those who yield to its ebb and flow
The riddle is resolved and the answer appears
Through percipient perception it goes
Beneath distraction and illusion
Lies the fearsome, awesome Reality
Through which the Truth's effusion
Goes with conviviality
We live to strive to know it's flame
For it casts light on our Heart's path
Disabuses the ruse and game
And heals in its aftermath
O Truth, you showed me in bad health
And brought back to life my truest self

I often thought my time had come -
When Love was nowhere found -
As wretched souls deemed to **** my self -
To hatchet in the ground -
And struggle - I - at first - to discern -
Their method - caked in muck -
But I fathomed my way out -
With logic - and with luck -
Megan Sherman Aug 2017
I often thought - of angels -
When in enchantment - they sung -
As bastions of beauty - they spy the path -
That lift me - on heavens rung -

No struggle encumber - but to ghouls -
Who willed - cheered - death of my heart -
How indifferently of the numinous - their fictions -
Devils creed - impart -
Megan Sherman Aug 2017
I reckon - there's a piece of heart
In gestures kind and warm
Like correspondence starting
Which immerses you in charm

Looking out the world so seems
To be comprehended best by awe
Every poet wants to know
What each other saw

Poets summer defies season
A flower perennial
Next to which illusion pales
And is made menial

They could die - to know
How each other sees
Waking to go wild
At blows of melody
Megan Sherman Feb 2017
i ride upon the feeling
of being struck in awe
by his truths, appealing
they leave me hungry, wanting more
he herds his words in coy cascade
that touches mind with passion's bliss
waltzing in magnificent parade
touched by beauty's kiss
towards the setting sun i go
enamoured of divinity
dreaming, rocking, to and fro
feeling deep affinity
but perhaps our paths are cleft in twain
for having nonetheless crossed
still the truth of his heart's truest bliss
is on my own embossed
Megan Sherman Feb 2021
I rise, like a phoenix from the embers
To my cosmic destiny, by Love enrolled
To write passion cross your Heart's chambers
In streams of dreams and fires of gold

I spread, like the light of a rainbow
Across my life, in age educated
Of the Joy that Heart's passion sew
And therein I feel bliss, elated

And now there is reason to rejoice
Since in the throne of angels I reside
Giving form to Heavenly voice

I serenade World's youth, she innocent
Abloom with sublime Beauty
Under stars' celestial tent

I saw a spirit dancing
Through the wild grass prancing
Thus she danced all day
In the sunny rays

Till the moon rose new
And night around us grew
She pointed to the sky
I felt my spirit fly

Soaring hand in hand
We zoomed over the land
She winked and disappeared
The angel I revered

I had grown quite fond
Of our divine bond
It kindles in my heart
And lives again in art

Where faith and fire dwell
Peace and love do well
So to my spirit I pray
Lest I go astray.
Megan Sherman Dec 2016
I see a vision unperceived
By slumbering, withered Eye
Not all the efforts of ordained Priests
Yield such visions of holy symmetry

Enamoured to the mystic climes
My Soul's Debauchery
Renouncing Realism
To feel and fathom Sky

I see Seraphs singing sweetly
Their auras drenched in colour
They visit me discreetly
Watering me as a flower
Megan Sherman Aug 2017
I see you - darling - watching me -
Beckoning me to rise by your side -
And touch my heart with one embrace -
Enveloped deep - in Loves warm grace -
A love as deep and wide as skies -
Conveyed by the smile that's in your eyes -
You have me - darling - mesmerised -
As the molecules of passion are synthesised -
Like stars - we burn - in eternal dance -
Enamoured of the celestial romance -
Wading deep - in passion's bliss -
Is there another joy as this?
Megan Sherman Aug 2017
Is God a logician?
Scholars say his plan - intelligent
For no better meta magician -
Could we ever want -

Is Devil an executive?
Marauding as capable of contrition -
Soul - substance - capitulate -
To terms - conditions -

I sing a music never heard,
By Hearts too cynical to hear,
My song swell, with decibels,
Yet does not bring them near,
Insatiate of lust am I,
The debauchery of you,
Tempts a curious pilgrim near,
Until her Heart, scared, flew,
When stoic turns the drunken babe,
In to cruelly rendered thing,
She waits to see, in misery,
What her redemption brings.
Megan Sherman Apr 2017
Is it thy scripture that my Heart cannot harmonise,
In its passion, its melody, with thine own?
For the girth of thine own, mine swells in size,
The tyrant of my inhibitions, overthrown.
Towards uncertain day we meandering go,
Afflicted by the bane of bitterness,
But I will be dreaming, rocking, to and fro,
Begetting my care with joy and tenderness.
My deeds betray my naivety, caprice,
It is my fickle Heart doth rule my actions,
That govern my wild, feral mouth,
And alienate my affections.
For thee I have surged, and plummeted Hell,
Did you rejoice the tallest tree to fell?
Megan Sherman Aug 2017
Is there some place we could talk?
Have a heart to heart -
Hear - aggregate - of your wisdom -
If you're willing - to impart?
I'd be so glad to see you -
For I'm inadequate -
At viewing life - objectively -
So I defer - to mate -
It'd serve a useful purpose -
For I've suffered - quite enough -
So it'd be swell - to converse with you -
On all that troubling stuff -
Megan Sherman Mar 2017
Is there time, Love, is there time
To take sanctuary from the world
And go into the wilds, unfurled
In my heart, affection swirled
If there is time, Love, if there is time

Is there time, Love, is there time
To indulge the heart and all its whims
For its the most cherishable of things
When it syncopates it sings
If there is time, Love, if there is time

Is there time, Love, is there time
Could we traverse passionate frontiers
Before fate creeps up and life disappears
For touch of you my spirit sears
If there is time, Love, if there is time
Megan Sherman Feb 2017
It burned - and burned -
That fulsome spark - of luscious red
It churned - and churned
Illustrious from spirit whence it ebbed

It grew - and grew
As nurtured - fed
It struck and sparked
A riot in my head

O flame - bid thee
Eternal life
To you - and only you
I'm wife
Megan Sherman Mar 2021
It happens often that Love dies
The Heart's sparks quenched one by one
Inaugurating a bleaker sky
Than that which ruled when Love begun

Experience suppresses the Heart's song
And hides the passionate impulse
But to deny Love remiss, path of wrong
Which only ignorant spirits chase

A human tragedy that Love obscure
And that we dwell in hate and war
Bereft of divine peace

Let minds conceive of Love's perfection
And bow to it in genuflection
The eternal wisdom apace
Megan Sherman Feb 2021
I think all lives are welcome

To dwell in Heaven pure

Inviting beleaguered spirit home

For Jesus to adore

The majesty of God, Love's source

Enlightens human mind

Moved by compassion, not by force

By Heaven's heart refined

Certainty of Angel's sun

A faith as pure as child

All lives in Heaven are as one

Waking to go wild
Megan Sherman Nov 2016
I think I saw a spectre
Emergent from the grass
Resplendent in an aura
Crystal clear as glass
And whether it was day or night
Meant nothing much to me
For dwelling in that vision
I had held infinity
The sky usually so discordian
Became a dome as one
A grid of interlocking flowers
In interstices colour runs
The spectre winked and disappeared
As quick as sprightly fawn
I rubbed my head and went to bed
Dismayed for she had gone
But there was no real reason
To lament losing her divinity
For she had secretly imparted
Some of her cosmic creativity
It nestled deep inside my heart
And waited patiently to hatch
And express itself in romping art
Where our two souls attach
Megan Sherman Dec 2016
I think to Love may be a curse
To those who grow attached
Instead of reaching heaven
The needy soul is wretched
I think to Love may be a curse
For the Heart becomes disabused
When her heat is unreciprocated
Spurned by her muse
Megan Sherman Feb 2017
It is always cheering to hear from you
To be touched by the current of your ideas
Through my heart a warm breeze blew
The sermon moving me to tears
It's good to see there are still people out there
Who honour and cherish the divine flame
That marks the soul indelibly
And gives it a golden frame
It gives me motivation to continue
On a treacherous and difficult path
It helps soothe my sullied psyche
In it's armageddon's aftermath
I see in you that Love has lived
And in that truth I am revived
Megan Sherman Nov 2016
It is a majestic evening, iridescent and light
The witching hour is still as a stone
The moon ascends to her celestial throne
A pearl in the sky, the divinest delight!
The starry climes brood over the sky
See! The cosmos is stirring, awake
And doth with its infinite movement make
The fluid Universe that flutters by
Dear Children, Dear Children, who in thy happy dance
Appear untainted by the ways of men
Don’t let the world turn you cold:
Thou seize divine fire all day, all year
God is speechless with love for your soul so bold
Which gets to go wild again and again
Megan Sherman Aug 2021
It is that those who know me distance choose
Because in pain they absorb my tender blues
An illness that cannot be defeat by brains
To them I am an evanescent rain
My world had died, a cherished, buried friend
She now with soil and with the earthworms lies
A melancholy with no start, no end
That topple, conquer, jade my poor Heart's skies
Megan Sherman Apr 2017
It is thy will that thou must be off limits,
To my thoughts and to my touch,
Such sad a thought bereft my spirits,
Of the lust which had warmed so much.
Thou dost mock my passion with thy wily wits,
Prithee, Love, what dost thou gain?
From the venom with which you spit,
That inspire my malady, my tender pain.
But thy prerogative sides with hate,
Thou dost accuse me sinfully,
With words suffice to berate,
That are not chosen mindfully.
Well, Love, I'll do away with you,
Though through my heart a cold breeze blew.
Megan Sherman Feb 2017
It's lust - like a lassoo
An ancient bond- that ties
Accentuates - Love - beautiful
And above and beyond - what's normal
Flustered- as Rabbit

Hearts- when the spark -
Stoke the Soul - fledgling, true -
A flame - devoid of care -
Unto - a mocking audience -
It begs for air
Megan Sherman Dec 2016
It's okay to live in make believe
Don't be so quick to dismiss what you can't perceive
Megan Sherman Feb 2017
It's swell to dwell in Heaven
To live in the land of make believe
Don't be so hasty to dismiss
All that you can't perceive
For in the interstices of the world
Lay possibilities untold
Manifesting in divinest dreams
And rivers and fires of gold
The kingdom and paradise of heart's true bliss
Is that to which the spirit strives
It's swell to dwell in heaven's kiss
That keeps the flame alive
O the mind of God to me a paradise is
Is there another joy as this
Megan Sherman May 2017
It was a little playful,
That coy and brooding look,
So I can be forgiven,
For having quick mistook,

The ****** of your intentions,
I hadn't an explanation lent,
I'm always mistaking friendly gestures,
For amorous intent.
Megan Sherman Feb 2017
It was Eden before they came
A place distinguished by its natural blisses
Where there is no ruse, no game
Only the touch of Creation's kisses
In harmony the spirits dwelled
Sharing in each other's joy
But then they came to dig and fell
Begun to shame and annoy
It always felt a bit weird to me
That feeling of a heaven lost
That feeling of a devil neared to me
Who caused such a spiritual cost
I guess this could all be hoodoo
But I think my eyes are right
For the redemption of Gaia's children
I'll devote myself to putting up a fight
Megan Sherman Aug 2017
It was not pain for long - for light crept in -
And all hearts pain - soon went -
It was a pain - unvanquishable -
The tongues from evil spirit to mock my descent -
The spirits frost - bite in to soul -
I felt my voices - scratch -
Upon the walls of my minds palace -
Where devil laid his plans to hatch -
Content that he'd never be caught -
And when he does the blame -
Gets flung about like horse **** -
By those enamoured of his game -
Megan Sherman Feb 2017
I vanquished Love with but a word
I vanquished it with haste
Because the absence of my affectee
Leaves foul and bitter taste

And he, with my Heart, steals away
And to horizons runs
Bereft of Glory I lower head
And drift in to setting Suns
Megan Sherman Feb 2021
I've felt a Pleasure mystics know
Consciousness of God
Enlightenment beaming to and fro
Its wisdom I applaud

The holy power, of the Lord
Cast me fit to receive
Visions of eternal realms
In which my soul's reprieve

Heaven salute me with angel song
Blessed my calloused mind
My soul riot in the throng
Of Love, activity refined

I saw the cosmos - an elegant dance
Of celestial bodies pure
Enamored of the heavenly romance
Irresistible to adore

The horror of my earthly woes
Dissolved on Heaven's sound
A beatitude only innocence knows
That staunches mortal wound

Like trees, all souls bend to the light
And harbor deepest roots
Angels guide them in their flight
In heavenly cahoots
Megan Sherman Feb 2021
I've known an Armageddon
To vanquish it my plea
With force of God it will disappear
And Earth shall rejoice free

Miles of hell that I called home
Signalize Beast's reign
Seduced, deceived all people
Enslaved them to their pain

But angels are figments of greater power
Than beast, for they reside in Love
Beast transient, angels command an immortal hour
In which the spirit roves
Megan Sherman Feb 2021
I've never felt a Love so pure

As this, a magnificent flame of gold

My devoted soul enwrapt by passion raw

As Beauty of Love unwind, unfold

I've never been as delirious

As this, in divine trance

Enchanted by pleasures amorous

Consist in heavenly romance
Megan Sherman Mar 2021
I've scarcely felt a Love so pure

Or rare as crystal ocean

For he irresistible to adore

Puts my heart in infinite motion

My passion bleeds from my desire

Overwhelms and possesses me

Till I can do nothing but admire

His shining spirit, raw and free

What fine art could frame thy face

And capture thy immortal grace

Soul carved from god's gold

You, my friend, are an image of Divinity

I, in awe of your magnanimity

A blistering spirit to behold
Megan Sherman Dec 2016
I've slept a little, but not a lot
For being overwhelmed by thoughts
Cantering like a runaway train
Insomnia is my disdain
I've slept a little, but not a lot

I've slept a little, but not a lot
Of how to sleep, I can't be taught
Awake consumed by my regrets
Hearing voices filled with threats
I've slept a little, but not a lot

I've had some sleep, but not a lot
I'm lying, left here in my bed to rot
Wondering how best to cope
With this hellish Kaleidoscope
I've had some sleep, but not a lot

I've had some sleep, but not a lot
A Ghost is bothering my cot
I'm terrified and sick from stress
I wonder how I did regress
I've had some sleep, but not a lot
Megan Sherman Feb 2017
I want to marvel at the sky
As sunlight sneaks away
Yielding to majestic night
As colour bleeds from day

I'd leap at the horizon
Beat wings against the Moon
And touch the bonny Rainbow
Through which fierce fires bloom

I'd climb upon the stairs of heaven
For a better view of Earth
And behold her awed by splendour
Of her gestating girth
Megan Sherman Feb 2017
I want to play a lucky flush and win your striking smile
A crescent moon adorned by sparks as wide and deep as miles
Creating a connection compelling you to beam back to me
With loving, luscious look attesting to Heaven's accuracy

Beckoning me to rise by your side you have me captured, mezmerized
As, in the pure reaction, the molecules of passion are synthesized
How many times have Poet's cried of Love
Like this, souls desperate to be intertwined

Enlighten me with what you know and make the cogs inside me whir
Frighten me with your vision and set my own vision astir
Envelop me like a bubble with the warmth of your desire
Grafting on Love's golden wings, we climb and glide and aspire
Megan Sherman Dec 2016
I was a little lovelorn
When disabused of the fraud
That us two would be united
In a coupling most odd
That hallowed soul I worship
Does not feel kin to me
It meanders now in solitude
I covet lustfully
Megan Sherman Feb 2017
I was a Lover and nothing less
Although it's patent that's not your view
Because I mangled my words and made a mess
But they made my care no less true
Some lovers love so much they rage
Rancorous, full of fearsome fire
Yet we all know my monologue on passion's stage
Left a lot to be desired
Nonetheless, I was a Lover
Knelt at altar of my muse
Forbidden of another
Your heart I didn't want to lose
I was a Lover, that much is true
If you think that's wrong, well ****, just sue
Megan Sherman Aug 2017
I was born - to be alive
Born to dare - born to strive
Be to the lust of life a wife
Transcend - suffering - strife

I was beget - to sparkling day
A little luscious babe - at play
Going - enchanted way
As I wield spirits keys
Megan Sherman Aug 2017
I watched an angel - in the crowd -
By slumbering souls - undetect -
Cloaked in divine aura - shroud -
Protect by him - I genuflect -
I sensed him - stealthy - drifting near -
An angel - at my stair -
Beckoning curious pilgrim with little tear -
From - a darkling lair -
He stole away - but paths had crossed -
And we - to horizons run -
Possessed of glory of each other's hearts -
We drift - in to setting suns -
Megan Sherman Apr 2017
I watched the Lord upon the cross,
Until he ceased to breathe,
He stopped - like strangled albatross,
With fledglings to bereave.

I peeped - at first, in horror -
The people's prophet nailed,
To the Emperor's wood masonry,
A craft for which his father - hailed -

Then I peered at greater length,
Though wanting to relent,
I cannot deny the sight of pain,
Beget so I can repent.

A sight sublime - yet awful,
Suffice to inspire hymns,
The people's prophet - crucified,
To indulge a tyrant's whims.

Yet towards his prosecutors, kind
So loving and forgiving,
Against that Truth - no armory
In it, Lord ever living.
Megan Sherman Oct 2020
I watch the sunrise with an eye
Accustomed to the light
Its Beauty dominates the sky
And is infinite
Megan Sherman Aug 2017
With haste I went to get the reaper -
But then he turned on me -
The creatures of my fancy vanished -
No more revelry -

And now I run for my life -
And now I cry in bed -
And try to be to the love of life a wife -
A font from whence God's Passion bled -

I would not save my Self -
I do not see the point -
But will give what's left of me for earths better health -
So in purity she can be anoint -
Megan Sherman Oct 2017
I wield a magic hardly felt
By Heads too cynical to see
My soul's flight - its dappled light
And stunning revelry

Insatiate of life - am I
And drunkard of the fire
Raging through the veins of creatures
Till they die - expire

When wizards who are self-elect
As opposed to those who learn
Only yield to magic flame
To maul - maim - burn

I haughty cackle shriek and laugh
For their ignorance
At my enchanted trance
Most illustrious dance
