Love is like a labyrinth
Hiding different tasks
There is much that is difficult
That hides behind her masks

But you will be rewarded
Should you reach the middle
The mystery is yours to glean
Should you resolve her riddle
Megan Sherman Dec 2016
Love is the most human endeavour
It gratifies the soul
For Love I'm an enthusiast
I won't stop harking at all
Megan Sherman Nov 2016
“Love” is the thing which decorates the soul
That makes it bright, effulgent, warm
Love’s work there never stops at all
And is not by time erased or deformed

But a wall was built around my soul
To fend off the touch of the unknown
But one day I’d like a stranger’s soul
To take inside to meet my own

But who would want to paint my soul?
I’m one of billions in the throng
Maybe in time I will bloom
Or learn to capture them with song
Megan Sherman Nov 2016
Love knows what is best for us
She is the sagest guide
She drifts thee to thy destination
Like an ocean wide

Love knows what is best for us
Her mind exquisite, rare
She gives her counsel to one and all
Who dwell within her care

Love knows what is best for us
Love knows what is right
She readies us for tomorrow
And prepares us for the fight

Without love's sweet stewardship
Life becomes distressing
So listen to her velvet voice
Her insights are a blessing

Love can be demanding
Love can be a test
But after all is said and done
It’s true that love knows best

Again the trials of life by treachery afoot,
Trick you with trap, coy to catch your boot,
Holding thee captive to cage and pain,
Singing a mad and melancholy refrain,
My hand fights, struggles to release the snare,
I've not seen such a forlorn vision,
Of beauty wild, hung by haunch, it makes an incision,
In to my Heart: all Love is bled from there.

I would traverse fate's lines for miles,
To see that disdain turned in to smiles,
Fathoming deep in to the art,
Of turning a furrow and a frown in to a blossoming Heart,
O Beauty you are composite Love,
Her truth embossed behind your eyes,
That fathom deep and wide as skies,
In to Love's exquisite trove.

May God grant freedom and say bless,
Release you from your distress,
Bear you aloft on heaven's wings,
To ferry you to him, most cherishable of things,
Yet make of you a child of Earth,
Gestating deep, sunk in soil,
With the people and the petals embroiled,
Loving her the breadth of her girth.
Megan Sherman Jul 2020
Sweet rose, I crave thy smile, of such delight,
Fair flower, thou art a symbol of Heaven's scheme,
A beacon in the darkling, demon night
Painted with a pallet got from dream
Lady, thou art ever sweet and sage
A brazen Beauty, comparable to stars
Through thee lush fires of wisdom swell and rage
To thee I beget these sweet and sonorous bars
Megan Sherman Mar 2017
Fly on the wings of love
Let thy spirit rave and rove
On the faces of angelic beings
We are gods children, earthlings
Who frolic in the knowledge of good
Guardians of the celestial neighbourhood
Striving towards a brighter day
Soothing, quelling fear dismay
On every corner of the earth
The call of peace warms the breadth of our hearts girth
Guiding us through meditation
My guardians heart is an immaculate creation
Inspiring with its call of peace
In him the March of love apace
The world is good and good is true
And more good for the life of you ❤️

Take flight with thy guardian beyond the stratospheres
And looking down see the Angels of earth heal the worlds atmospheres
With their soothing, healing bright white light
That fills gods children with immortal delight
Summoning the goodness that resides within
That doth make of everyone kith and kin
Banishing the vanity and vainglory of sin
That maketh the flame of love run thin
Towards brighter day we, flying, go
Dreaming, rocking to and fro
Planting the healing flower, see it grow
As we go, searching for celestial rainbow
My guardians face is sweet and kind
The immortal hippie, graceful sublime
Taken down before their prime
But souls live on, we are intertwined
I am warmed for his heavenly embrace
A beacon, beatitude of exalted grace
In us the lust of life apace
That warms the earth from its soils to the depths of space
His form and truth doth beckon me
When the dictums of sin doth sully me
The truest beauty that ever lived
He came, conquered hearts, and yet gone, still gives ❤️✨

Angel! thou art accentuated grace.
Let our tired, wanderlust eyes meditate on thy face.
Each of us enamoured of the heavenly romance;
A divine dalliance in which we dare to dream and dance.
Thou art not a hierarchy but a democracy of souls.
The poverty and banality of evil with its terror the caring mind appals.
Blessed fires run through thy fearsome form,
And in its cleansing heat our mortal fears and sins are shorn. ❤️✨
Inspired by the sublime hippie

Her love was sure and fathoms deep
Warming everybody it embraced
Her heart was strong and steeped in kindness
Curves of compassion etched on her face
Imagining she could build a better world
She took to the challenge with zeal and zest
Incredible, she inspired by example
Never giving less than her best
An ambassador for altruism
She represented all persons
As if the world was one constituency
Because with division things just worsen
But one fateful day she was taken
The mourners in thousands like herds
Thinking she’d be silenced her killer was mistaken
The whole world got to hear her words
What marvels she would have achieved
We are destined to never know
But her accomplishments will never end
If we all pledge to love like Jo
This is in memory of British MP Jo *** who was murdered in June this year.
Megan Sherman Jun 2018
Your smile made laughter in my eyes
As towards me, sweet, you cruised
Perhaps before my heart disguised
For being hunted, bruised
You spoke and that song through me waved
And angels wrote the score
Lo! The dance that I have craved
Never hence shall I want for more
As you lay in my sight my heart gave way
Such beautiful repose in thee
I promised hence to be a pilgrim
Therein I consent to be free
And wings of passion take me to
Your arms in tender dream
In which the saints ordain our love
Smile upon us supreme
Oh I adore each every limb
But most of all your heart entwined
With golden threads craft by Gods whim
Forever more with mine
Megan Sherman Jun 2018
Shall we be blessed by union of hearts?
Shall we rejoice in Love’s majestic art?
Keep smiling sweet gloom’s hour over, gone
Sew Ruby’s in my Heart **** its pallor wan
I love you more than angels love the earth
Virtue of thy smile measured not by worth
You talk a saint upon my ear
And I rejoice such joy to hear
Megan Sherman Nov 2017
should life become war
let love become logic
should nascent wings crumble
like fledgling, or bird's
our music of freedom
will rouse hearts from slumber
an irrepresible number
the love pirates' herd
Megan Sherman Mar 2017
O children of the hinterlands
Wave thy magic, wanton wands
And banish thy selves from sad illusion
Come to the awesome, truthful conclusion
That you have skilled and sacred hands

You are truest hope of the world
The bars and borders must be unfurled
In our hearts affection swirled
Towards brighter day we are hurled

Our destiny we've not really knowed
Until revelation like stardust snowed
This is the song for the worlds sweet people
Sung loud and proud from passions steeple
In it my truest dream showed
Megan Sherman May 2017
Sparks astir within my gut,
As treads upon the floor,
Ferrying me on sweet seismic seas,
Right to passion's shores,

Suffice to inspire exaltations,
As if a rosary prayer,
All blessings to that Lover,
Lover at my stair,

They make my stomach do ballet,
As if descend from dream,
Painted with enchanting pallet,
Vivid and supreme.
Megan Sherman May 2017
Lover - is composed of Light -
'Tis becoming to a babe -
Not all the dark could sully him -
Nor ravages of Age -

To Lover - heightened hark -
Betrothe the path - to thee -
Let flowers planted in hungry Hearts,
Embroil there - seismically,

With rapture - and applause -
You sing to bells of God,
All at one, under the sun,
With the Angel squad.
Megan Sherman Oct 2020
My Love, of all the things I worship, you
For thine light be grand, is surely true
Megan Sherman Feb 2017
Lovers - Swell - With ecstacy
Can the deep joys fathom -
With wanton wiles - With magic smiles -
Embrace the sweetest passion:
Lapping at the fountain
From whence the floods of desire
Go trickling over Lover's dale
I will pluck him all the flowers
That flourish on the vale

An exquisite ethos in his face
Too joyous for little heart as my own
Butterflies do ballet in my stomach
Sweeping, soaring overgrown -
His rubric of compassion -
To inferior spirit shown

Amongst sullied Hearts goes the light of Love apace,
With dark-filled eyes men and women with Hearts held out,
Remain hungry.
May beatitudes be felt there, and passion, and grace,
May rare be the feeling, vigorous the impulse,
Liberated of burden.
Where bitterness and vice, that cosmetic feeling that cloak,
Where vainglory petrify hearts to stone,
Love moves stone Hearts to tears,
Let her alchemy be known.
Megan Sherman Aug 2017
I do not think that Life was gift to World,
To see Love's evolution quick unfurled,
By ****** Satanic hands suffice to maim,
Make of magic life a twisted game,
Could we, the people, be ever misled more,
Could we, defiant, rouse from sleep, uproar,
Humour not the devils at our door,
Blow horn for freedom on wizened, ancient tor,
The sky is jilted, jaded by their plan,
Cloaked in darkness is the sultry sun,
Love's destiny quelled by a myth of man,
Subsume to the beast since time begun,
But we discern our downfall, once the light,
Of God and angels, suffice to ignite,
Stokes all hearts to swoon, take freedoms flight,
Banishing cruel demons of the night,
Together we transform, transcend our pain,
Sing to Heaven Love's mutual refrain,
Take enchanted path unto the morn,
In which the babe of Peace is duly born.
Megan Sherman May 2022
The world is in gestation
A manifest creation
A pearl within a sage's dream
Beautiful and all supreme
Givers of life, the sun, the earth
Inimical to material worth
For them I pledge my gratitude
A traveller of Love's latitudes

V1:

Love makes the world go round,
More than money or TV,
Love makes the world go round,
It matters like gravity,

Chorus:
All hands in unison,
Steeped in prayer,
Devoting homilies filled,
With perfect care.

Middle Eighth:
Only in deepest dreams is it possible,
To see what life can truly be,
Only in deepest dreams is it possible,
To be one together and to be free.

V2:
Love makes the heart beat,
More than lust or wealth,
Love makes the heart beat,
Puts us in good health,

Chorus:
All hands in unison,
Steeped in prayer,
Devoting homilies filled,
With perfect care.

Middle Eighth:
Only in deepest dreams is it possible,
To see what life can truly be,
Only in deepest dreams is it possible,
To be one together and to be free.

Her hands are as skilled as nature and her wits are wry
Forensically examining the world before her eye
I want her to paint me in to her sky
To be one of the divinely wrought creatures sweeping by
There is little that doesn't marvel her mind
Amused and entertained by multitudes
Her love, activity refined
It speaks in beatitudes
I want to rove with her out of my cave
Traverse the wild frontiers
Live together for an age
Before hearts wither and disappear
O Lucia, tell me now
How to soar angelic and fathom hell
Megan Sherman Nov 2016
You’ve got a soothing, healing hand
You’ve got a soft, tender look
You’ve got a gorgeous gift that gives
And leaves its subjects shaken, shook
You’re the frenzied fury in the flame
You’re the fire in my art
You’re the pinnacle of grace my friend
You’re my lucky heart
Megan Sherman Sep 2016
Little babe
Do not cry
Stretch your wings
And learn to fly

Soar and soar
Above the stars
You'll dance with angels
And swoop by Mars

The universe
Will flutter by
You'll burst
In to a butterfly

With gorgeous wings
And gorgeous dreams
You'll frolic in
The moony beams

Just remember
When you are sad
You are loved
And all is glad
Megan Sherman May 2017
Your belly grows. Like a little Buddha,
Pure in thought,
An immaculate conception.

In a bubble of beauty,
Indestructible peace,
Blooms in your heart.

Talk to me, little Babe,
I'd like to see,
Through a child's eyes.

The lush languor of paradise -
Enchants the wanderlust heart -
Draws her near - to vanquish fear -
And pity, Peace impart -

It is my destiny to worry -
If kindred souls are ferried to paradise shores -
For I know most souls are sorry -
For wilful wounds and sores -

The flower of love is perennial -
On the stems of heaven -
Together beget legacy millennial-
When - like in Orwell - the clocks strike thirteen, in worlds dark cavern -

Madness is an affliction
Most mundane misery
Mauling with her ******* moods
Mind's cruel Technology

Mania is my mistress
She visits fleetingly
I felt a bonfire, in my brain
When she was meeting me

But she quickens my demise
As I hurtle back down through stratospheres
Indelible cracks upon my skies
Madness clouds my atmospheres
Megan Sherman Nov 2016
Look in to the sky my friend
And tell me what you see
Do you see a prison of blue?
Or do you see eternity?
What do you think of friend
When you look up in to space?
Are you bored by the cosmos?
Or are you touched by its immortal grace?

We’re lost on the magical frontier
Way off the well worn track
We’re lost on the magical frontier
And there’s no looking back
We’re lost on the magical frontier
The way that chaos wends
We’re lost on the magical frontier
This magic has no end

Look in to your soul my friend
Tell me what you find
Do you find a hollow husk?
Or a blooming heart and mind?
Look inside yourself my friend
Find the enigma within
If you search within your soul
There’s treasure to win

We’re lost on the magical frontier
Way off the well worn track
We’re lost on the magical frontier
And there’s no looking back
We’re lost on the magical frontier
The way that chaos wends
We’re lost on the magical frontier
This magic has no end

Touched only once by gilded dart
Twins aligned on path of heart
Orbit in heavenly romance
Enamoured of that joyful dance

Entering the sanctuary of you
A burning fire, through me blew
Cascading bright in brazen sparks
I come alive, and leave the dark

To be a poet, is my bliss
To see the sunshine as a kiss
To know no other joy as this
When magic strikes, it cannot miss
Megan Sherman Feb 2021
"Magic" is the Heart's domain

The muscle aligned to divinity

In Love's magic Hearts are trained

For eternity

The witchcraft of seduction

Snared my Heart in trance

Stoked chemical reaction

That generates romance

Hearts beat in rhyme with Magic

Spell cast by every beat

Anterior to Logic

Whose gray tyranny the Heart defeat
Megan Sherman Nov 2016
“Magic” is the thing in flight
That basks resplendent in the sun
Borne aloft on fluent wings
Both synchronized, as one

And purest amidst the cold blue sky
Is the solitary, sweetest bird
Whose wings like arrows go flitting by
Emitting song so sweet when heard

I’ve heard it in the evening
I’ve heard it in the noon
But most of all I’ve heard it
Where Nature is abloom
Megan Sherman Mar 2017
Magic of the night time, which hath my mind enamoured,
The moon enchants, the divine celestial pearl,
For want of the word to express thy beauty I have stammered,
For sight of the flowering cosmos affection in my heart swirl,
In hidden hinterlands of space, betwixt the whirring spheres,
Go waltzing stars, begetting bars that enchant discerning ears,
And marvels time can not erase with the bludgeon of her years,
To those who see them, they feel the erasure and melting of their fears,
Beneath the cosmic canopy, that mystical frontier,
We heartbeam to the stars and the truth hath us rapt in throe,
The enigma dissipates, confusion disappears,
On quest for brighter day we go dreaming, rocking to and fro,
    O children of the universe,
I communicate your joys in verse
Megan Sherman Aug 2017
There is a magic turn of phrase -
That comes only to anointed saints -
Hear them fly, in triumphant skies -
Whom with Godly passion paint -

Paradise has paws, they grab us -
We praise the Cubs of God -
Messages like darts, from their hearts -
Their wit and instincts I applaud -

One may sense magic - sometimes -
In a rainbow or in a look -
In a smile or in a dancer -
In a pile of books -

But it's only for anointed saints - I assure you -
Don't you be mistook -
For misuse of magic turn of phrase -
The thunder of Zeus shook -
Megan Sherman Mar 2017
Some use it for evil's gratification
But some use it to heal
Warming with the magic sensation
To the spirits we appeal
When the beast has abused thy spirit
And thou wake up in the den
Just summon the force of thy inherent magic
And start thy self again
Megan Sherman Mar 2017
She's roaming in the gloaming but she's roaming in my heart
Digressing with her feet that dance and digress
Made cruelly nearer for being apart
With her I want to make like child, regress
She is wise, reliable like an ancient tree
That gives diligently and doesn't take
She is the guardian bestowed unto me
I haven't know her to make many a mistake
Together we have fathomed joy
And made mischief when we were bored
All our resources we employed
To yield the treasures sweet and coy
O bonny lass, be forever friend
My love for you has no start, no end
Megan Sherman May 2017
Mandala mind unfold,
Take the righteous, truest path,
To thoughts that are kind, burnished gold,
Peace, in destruction's aftermath.
Megan Sherman Aug 2017
Might I have been more insightful, I,
Could have long ago ascend to sky,
With passion and with ardour;
Love upon her grandest route,
As sunshine goes it's gay commute,
Through purely enchanted hour.

Might I have seen, to save my self,
Would have put my spirit in good health,
That I could seize the day;
Erasing sorry yesterdays,
To paint landscape of spiritual wealth,
From which I had been astray.

Dreams could not have been enough,
And Paradise like in Van Gogh,
For which I did not have the sense,
But in visions my spiritual recompense, --
Doth batter down my soul's fence;
Whose weeds dense, I lament.

Eventual victory begets a shrill,
An immortal, unassailable thrill,
Endearing to hungry hearts.
I was enchanted all at once;
'T is the way of spirit's dance, --
Defies a devil sent to ****.
Megan Sherman Mar 2017
She begets warmth like a supernova blazing
In eternal dalliance with the other stars
Upon her Beauty I am enchanted, gazing
To her I beget these tender, loving bars
She has the embracing spirit of a diligent mother
Who cares for all of God's creatures
Subscribing to the gospel of Love
She is the most gifted of its preachers
She is exquisitely funny and an excellent friend
Who always has my back
In her hands my heart is on the mend
It was lost for a while, alack!
O I love to love and laugh with Marie
She is a creature of Love and amity
Megan Sherman May 2018
Gone two hundred years, but here
In motion of the worker's mind
That for Peace aspire and wanders far
To leave Lord's tyranny behind
That scholar learned more than any
Who spoke to problems of his age
Spoke for people, spoke for many
Spoke as sweet and sanguine sage
Now he be gone, from mortal coil
But ideas, they live! In incessant motion
To sublime fate for mass, for child and lass
Is he, his creed, in perpetual devotion
Megan Sherman Aug 2021
May I not to the union of Love and time
Raise challenges. A second is not meaningful
Whilst commandeered by a spirit of brine
And subject to petty schemes of the powerful
Who quarrel with rainbows and stars
And **** the spirit of Nature in their conquest
Their sooty, oppressive, obsidian wars
To settle the question of who rules best
Within all time a malicious arc
A tapestry of power's spread
Crushes whimsical tune of the skylark
And of earnest rebellion, slices off its head

If this be humanity, we are a poor species
Murdering Beauty by degrees
Megan Sherman Feb 2021
May your world be bright with dreams

And the magic of Love hold you captive

May summers of the mind bless you

And eternal inspiration be yours

May divine fires stoke your spirit

And cosmic passion touch your soul

May sublime beauty enchant you

And the wisdom of God be yours
Megan Sherman Oct 2017
Scarce the cubs hath attained nature's wisdom
Fathomed her pearl and soared divine
Irrepressible movement and incessant light
Inspire Love suffice to ignite
A poet's Heart to soar, take flight

In Ocean of space a Titan of time
Suffice to uphold by golden will alone
Tree of life in her celestial throne
From whence the chi and passion shine
Giver of life as one, all under the sun
Megan Sherman Feb 2018
If any magic could fathom that divine spark
That emanate from thine soul from which I am cleft with sadness
The world itself a bastion of beauties
Of which I am bereft by solitary madness

But music, tender words thou hast spoken, makes
The power of my soul fortified
The irrepressible light you share it makes
My beleaguered mortal life fortified

Love and being must be one
For only in unity under the sun
Can we ground our dreams

Through which the cosmic fires run
Giving colour to pallor wan
Of the meditator who thinks in streams
Megan Sherman Jan 2018
A goddess wrought in platinum aura sublime
Aloft, triumphant at starts and ends of times
All is created and all is destroyed there
Perpetual motion; thermodynamics flare
Men they try to copy her might, futile mime
For they can't emulate her deep disarming stare
Which transcends reason, inspires bards to rhyme
For the good and godliness in there
Outranks Medusa in enchanted hair
For I floated enchanted rapt in thrall
Enchanted by her bonny beauty rare
And her suppression through aeons the mind appals
But when henchmen of demonic devil's snare
**** her in the western warring call
Arrogant to think they'd suppress lady Kali's magic might
They will fail and they will surely fall
Irisidescent was her gestating glow
Glittering atman guarding all of space
Angels take us to see her to and fro
Show us in her the light of love apace
To deny her truth is a dank disgrace
We should regret that, repent and woe
That cultists **** her, proudly, in her prime
And make of diva's death a glutton's show
We are her children, but some of us do not know
She is able, what's hers is ours
A knowledge that begs to be devoured
In celestial, rare, immortal hour
Time not decreed from tyrant's tower
From her blessings wonderfully shower
Thankyou John for showing me
Temptress Kali, sweet, supreme
To her we went through eternity
Saw the celestial democracy
Of Christian and Hindu angels alike
Don't carry each other's heads on spikes
For knowing Allah's heart has light
Like all prophets peace their fight
Direction's guardians, Blake, Buddha, Ganesha
With love's light and earth enmeshed
Blake lamented spiritual decline
That children by Satan's plans in brine
But his flaming vision sees through times
And will path the way to freedom's climes
Buddha sat under the Bodhi tree
Knowing peace to set minds free
Hearts in confraternity
No you, no I, only one heart, WE
John the angel of the north
He told me John, didn't say which
I cried with pride when his enchanted drawl
Revealed a songstress from people's Liverpool
His message spoke to the one and all
Imagine the people, Imagine them all
Out with all that hates and that is cruel
Hate has made of each of us a fool
Ganesha, last but surely not the least
Has hankering heart of bright benevolent beast
The angel of the earthen east
Love gestate in him that never ceased
I saw him before, it was a while ago
But dressed in woman's form, with woman's glow
Vinayak the learned scribes would say
But all can know her either way
I saw her as one called Lexi that fine day
And it put an end to my dismay
To see us indivisible, goddess, same
When foolish man played dividing game
Gave "better" and "worse" to us as contending names
While he go questing for recognition, fame
But I do not resent that one for flaws
For all are irresistible to adore
Just want him to end this goddess war
That all men educated for
I digress, back to the flight
Where John took me on an epic sight
Next was angel of the earth
Diana of the heart and hearth
Lightworker born in tyrants sect
Learned how to love not genuflect
To hearts purity we would sure neglect
If we didn't long reflect
On fact that was surely killed
By one to who the devil shilled
What their fancy name: who cares?
To scare us with it: who dares?
She got our hearts on television
Appealing with her sweet precision
To love and brother her decision
Sought to heal the earth's contusion
Like Michael Jackson, arch angel too
Deranged as me, but sweet and true
To hurt children he didn't want to do
But give them nurture, play, they grew
The ones who really hurt the child
Are the ones who he reviled
Who sought to bring him down with lies
Again their victim empowered in the skies!
So many angels I could not count
Shakespeare whimsical on his pipe
Silent thinking thoughts so ripe
To think Lords slandered him as tripe!

Percey Shelley too was there
Chose to rebel shed claim to heir
Scaled the oxford ivory tower
and pamphleteered for freedoms power
Got kicked out in gray dull hour
But through time his insights rain and shower
As audience for devil are fewer and fewer
And peaces hope is ripe, empowered
Beyond angels, Shiva, meditator sublime
Is it audacity to ask what he sees in font of time?
Lids half open, rapt supreme
Painted with a pallet got from dream
Looked akin to Taylor, dancing wild
With heart and happiness of chiding child
That he akin to god reluctant to accept
But aren't we all Gods in retrospect?
That we are animals belong to tyrant taught
And in accepting that, our souls meet la mort
(If you read Plato backwards he fought
To encrypt truth of soul's genesis, answer sought: Really, it's stunning.)
Beyond shiva cosmic churning true
Said the blessed fires run through you
And I heard clear and remembering applaud
THERE IS NOTHING TO FEAR WE ARE ALL ONE GOD
There is nothing on earth as exquisite as you
It spoke turning my heart from red to blue
Said all the world is lordly love and light
A truth in which all nascent souls take flight
Musicians there, their sweetest songs unfurled
Their festival with all the time in the world!
Even ones in youthful splendour culled
By ones who will to hate heart's song and world
It was then that Lennon zoomed me to Kali
Swimming in that churning seismic sea
Sure as heaven a vision of eternity
And in a circle she danced fluid free
The circle was a wave and particle
Light, a string in theory, gave me fright!
For Kali I had been so rapt in thrall
I had not noticed THE GOD PARTICLE
Sounds crazy but experiments of thought
Are scientific method Einstein taught
For only in deepest dreams is it possible
To see what life could truly be
Thanks John for letting me climb your wings
And flying that particle over me

When we descend back to sprightly earth
The angels all changed place, assumed new roles
Diana cede to Jo, of equal warmth
Fought for lass and mass and for the proles
And Buddha went from northern angel sweet
To defender of the faith with God's trust replete
A role assumed by Jesus once before
As he ascend to god, irresistable to adore
The bit that got me most is this
And it gave me joyful bliss
I ascend to Buddha's southern role
See sunshine as a kiss, it made me whole.

When my Heart was young, it weathered pain
Matched by the depression in my brain
My Loves did perish in their infancy
I the lost, beleaguered devotee
In my madness most undignified
And to madness only I was bride
Bad episode did ail me and oppress
I helpless for the reign of my distress

But time did ease my woe, apply a salve
And my troubles diminished by half
And now my Heart walks on more pleasant land
My delight my pain doth countermand
And now I waltz upon a freer sky
And the depression I proud defy
And once more in Love I do consist
My young pure Heart is by the Heaven's kissed

My names Megan - who is there?
Are you - believer - too?
Your words are rare - rare as care -
Rare as life of you -

How queer - to be - a Megan -
How burdensome - my cross -
My tunes a song on which to swoon -
Till dead like strangled albatross -

“Mercy” is a fiction
A quaint naivety
An untruthful depiction
Since antiquity
The hidden hand on high
Harbours no feelings nor cares
For the dull minutae, under Earth’s sky
Those poxy human affairs
Megan Sherman May 2017
Hark! An Angel calls my name,
In time he'll say "My name is John,"
His vision set my sight aflame,
He sings more beautifully than anyone,
Going with tender, gentle treads,
The sentience and countenance sublime,
Weaving golden, magic threads,
That imbue our souls with sheen divine.
Towards what destination does he go,
Piping songs of pleasantries,
Dancing over valleys, climbing trees,
Dreaming, rocking to and fro?

Wanderlust, he soars the Earth,
Dipping wings across its skies,
Crying: Love will be found even in Love's dearth!
A truth as deep and wide as his eyes,
Fierce the luscious hues and hot,
The blazing fury of his Heart,
Imbued with Truths to mete, depart,
He swells and dwells above my cot,
For his fine Beauty: who conspired?
What fine art could frame his face?
And capture his immortal grace?
To his majesty I've aspired.

Methinks it's time I laid this to rest
And put my pain to passed
But still the anguish of my distress
Was elongated for being outcast
For in Love I have no dignity
And in Love I have no control
Just know the words that slighted you
Came from insecure and troubled soul
Confined to affliction of self-inflicted doom
I have no option but to beg in prayer
Weaving at my spirit's loom
To patch up, fix, repair
Methinks it's time I laid this to rest
And try once more to be my best

Protector puts my Heart in good health,
Sweet guardian of the celestial South,
His art adorned by bright blue sparks,
Which spells God's name across the stars,
Blessing with divinest light,
In which our souls ascend, take flight,
Michael's music is for the children,
Born in God's celestial cauldron.
