Megan Sherman Jun 2017
A friend who had the will to care,
With heart so sure and strong and fair,
Who stooped to lend a heartfelt hand,
An exquisite example to our land.
No breath of malice lingered there,
Imbued with a love that's pure and rare,
Only beget kindly eyes,
As wide and deep as skies.

Though of a blasphemy I told,
Without thine regards bereft of my hearts gold,
I alienated a fair heart true,
For through my heart a warm breeze blew,
For having met a soul so kind,
Having neglected Love, activity refined,
In regret I bubble, rue,
But Love is what I wish for you.

The foulest howl I had beget,
For dwelling in lies I still fret,
Deceived by dubious Devils tongue,
My regrets I have sung.
I still chase sun, I still chase Love,
Even if not with your self,
Let our kinship swell with health,
Prithee, don't sully our memories with pain.

The Harmony Of Things
Megan Sherman Apr 2017
You cannot perceive a rainbow without an array of colour,
Or know the majesty of colour, for it being bereft of rainbow,
You cannot conceive of a single soul,
Without knowledge of the divine source from which its zest blows.
Could you see the pearl in the moon without the rust of the red burnished sun?
Through which the cosmic fires run,
You could not be moved power of a single rhyme,
Lest you see how it's spilling in to the cosmic song, dancing throughout time.
Long live one truth, to which I am devote,
The world is a myth, the cosmos our home, souls reared on a spiritual outpost suspended on a light mote.
One creation adorned by flowering hearts - kin and twin - that cross on path of bliss,
Every mind wants to know what every other saw, prithee tell how you see like this.
Beaming, beating, bubbling hearts, waltz through the flowering universe,
The poet cries end of Love's dearth, and communicate its joys in verse,
Now thou hast give me the knowledge of my path towards eternal delight,
In knowledge of the unity of all things I will source my light, take flight, and fight.

Lovers - Swell - With ecstacy
Can the deep joys fathom -
With wanton wiles - With magic smiles -
Embrace the sweetest passion:
Lapping at the fountain
From whence the floods of desire
Go trickling over Lover's dale
I will pluck him all the flowers
That flourish on the vale

An exquisite ethos in his face
Too joyous for little heart as my own
Butterflies do ballet in my stomach
Sweeping, soaring overgrown -
His rubric of compassion -

To change oneself in introspection
Is the gift of deep reflection
The Mind is a beautiful creation
Refined, aligned to meditation
Consists in it treasures untold
Perception a trickling stream of gold
I meditate more closely, the focus takes me higher
I feel the touch of cosmic fire
Vision is wide and deep as Ocean
To truth it must be in devotion
Sight will struggle to be free
From bars that cage it evilly
The Mind is built for communication
In it Ideas find respiration
Intangible are thoughts, but they
Can shine light, showing us the way

I Just Feel Very Strongly
Megan Sherman Feb 2017
I just feel very strongly
Overwhelmed by emotions
I think you judged me wrongly
Enamoured of prejudicial notions
I am just unstable
I don't know how to cope
That's why I angrily babble
And make plans to leave, elope
Don't tell me I am things I'm not
You don't know me very well
For all I care our bond can be left to rot
Because you've not known me long enough to tell
You jumped to brazen conclusions
Presumptuous and rude
I guess you've never known devotion
So of course you wouldn't perceive that my spirit had brewed
You just want to indulge your ego
So its rich of you to call me vain
You think you're above it when you punch down low
And enjoy begetting pain
So make with haste to leave my sight
It's enamouring no more
Out you go, and now I know
To lock and bolt the door

Love's Alchemy
Megan Sherman Apr 2017
Amongst sullied Hearts goes the light of Love apace,
With dark-filled eyes men and women with Hearts held out,
Remain hungry.
May beatitudes be felt there, and passion, and grace,
May rare be the feeling, vigorous the impulse,
Liberated of burden.
Where bitterness and vice, that cosmetic feeling that cloak,
Where vainglory petrify hearts to stone,
Love moves stone Hearts to tears,
Let her alchemy be known.

An Angel Have I In My Heart
Megan Sherman May 2017
An Angel have I in my Heart,
Wielding wanton wand,
He's written out of history,
But still reveals Love's final plan.

I go the way from which he came,
Wearing my kindest Heart,
Free of Reason's curriculum,
Which regiments when it imparts.

It did not look like Earth does,
There was no sky or ground,
Only Love and light unto ourselves,
That spilled for miles around,

That place is far from the altar,
But to and from the vales,
Goes God's Love, never faltering,
Despite the Devil's gales.

So we rejoice,
And raise our voice,
Towards the sky,
Where spirits fly,
And Love goes by,
All the day.

I gave my Self,
For better health,
I am a star,
Not a number,
Conduit of wealth.

A truth wherein my warmest regards grew,
Through my heart a warm breeze blew,
For having seen a soul so true.

May not the despair of years to your feathers stick,
May the soils of the Earth's be warmed with your spirit,
For truth of You our heart's, a-lit,

I saw a sight! How it can fright,
A vision of immortal delight,
That I was guarded by a flame,
That shone like mine, one and the same.

When one day I screamed at night,
It guard me with transcendent light,
When that day at night I screamed,
Of Angel true I glimpsed and dreamed.

And he spread his fiery wings to invite,
Me to climb and take soul's flight,
I soared the airs, climbed heaven's stairs,
Free from earthly woes or cares.

And he flew me through the universe,
Light banishing existential curse,
Suffice to say this Angel's gift was art,
For painting with passion my hankering heart.

I had a heartbreak bad as hell
That left me under doomful spell
The pain I nursed with anodyne
Cleansed my soul as if soaked in brine
Since then I am a lot more lost
Whoever knew that love had cost
It winded me and broke my wing
After passed the dawn of spring

When he packed his bags and left
My spirit hollow and bereft
His patience snapped, it did not bend
And therein passion came to end
My spirit doth withstand the gale
Swept over me and sent from hell
Depression's spectre raid the nest
Inside my Heart, which laid to rest

Ode to the moon
Megan Sherman Oct 2022
With aura of gold, as such inspires psalms
A beatitude which fretful, encumbered mind calms
I sing to thee, sweet moon, a luscious pearl
Which into night time throne ascend and twirl
Consists in this enigma rare, divine beauty
To which the sages pledge entreaty
All hearts swoon with music upon her sight
Harbinger of eternal delight
Sublime as a god paint with pallet of dream
She is all powerful and all supreme

O cherished disc of cosmic bliss
A rival matched to sunshines kiss
Inspires feelings suffice to be sung to lyres
A fixity in time and space that will never die, expire
Could ever I do justice to thy majestic spirit?
In words, nay, don't think I'll ever near it
Pearl in Heaven's clam adorned by sparks
In embrace of which we to the veiled realms embark
Thee borne of God's labour, testament to his passion
Which he begets in floods, not by ration

Gift me with your precious Peace
May thy blessings expand, thy love increase
Borne aloft on divinest wings
That inspires soul to soar and sing
Consist in you spirit blithe, like Shelley's coy sparrow?
Your healing light penetrates like arrow
Into heart and mind, begin to heal
For energy healing is self-evidently real
To intuition, not gray reason thine appeal
Wisdom not from facts but the truths we feel

Moon a sublime friend, wields and wends
A bounty of pure energy sages guard, forfend
Beyond mere icon, an authentic power
Graces with presence in the witching hour
Assist as we fathom depths of soul
To unite the heart with one and all
Upon thy beauty spirit roves
Frolics in thy treasure troves
I crawl under canopies in thy golden grove
A liberation as such the satanic architect loathe

For moon outranks the schemes of men
Who divide the world to the power of ten
Splendour of the cosmos reduced to sordid schemes
That dare to bastardise our dreams
A soulless empire which subjugates earth
In which evil breeds after it was birthed
A pearl defiled by rubber treads
Of men who rule with imperial heads
But her blood not blue, in fact it red
Peace the agenda to which she wed

In vain the tyrants suppress moon's song
For all their efforts her voice far surpass evil throng
The hearts of the witches are drunk on her music
Learning from her passion's rubric
A guru would revere her melody
To heal our sore and tender maladies
Applying salve to sullied spirit
Medicine more powerful than logic, wit
Healing that cross our hearts writ

Keep thy light alive my friend
Make the world whole once again
Next to thy shine illusion pales
An aura alighting Heaven's vales
A beacon of hope amidst deep treachery
That restores the faith inside of me
I may dwell among the ground and trees
Accustomed to the earthly breeze
But my spirit is still commit to moon
In which divinest beauty hewn

So return it when you come,

Over Gods sweet and sinuous rills
And paddling down that purest stream
Chanced sight of dancing daffodils

To see the world turn iridescent

His eyes enchanted by the hues

Revealing with disinfecting rays
Things through which cosmic fire runs
Givers of the life the earth and flame

Once brigadier in evil empire new
Took with her Heart as sweet as sultry sun
Sees other souls as twins, yet one
Be guide by creed that hate in vain not knew
She walks in foregrounds noisy, sandy, blitzed
******* to God's sky, slightly apart
Sweet speech of peace spoke from a hearing Heart
Turns my own from forlorn blue to red
Beau not made for fetid empire's boots
For all she tires, not selfish needs
To wise to be conduit of empire's deeds
Aghast, in tears, at wily war cahoots
Nakedly brave she shames treacherous truths
Bared for all the world to see
When truth-tellers in fraternity
Unite to lay bare war's same forsooth
Perhaps example will teach us how
Us, deceived flock, fleeced and eaten
Us, cheering war sulphurous molten
Teach us to Love a sister now
She dances sober past those drunk on death
Those novices of life yet still to Love
Within their prison walls beau turtle dove
Did take flight yonder with laughing breath
So as she lives, she to love obeys
So when she's not she, she lives yet everyday

I sing a music never heard,
By Hearts too cynical to hear,
My song swell, with decibels,
Yet does not bring them near,
Insatiate of lust am I,
The debauchery of you,
Tempts a curious pilgrim near,
Until her Heart, scared, flew,
When stoic turns the drunken babe,
In to cruelly rendered thing,
She waits to see, in misery,
What her redemption brings.

Sullied by relentless attrition of time
As passion yields, out fierce feelings fly
Mind bereft of the profound, sublime
Enchanted no more the spirit rues

Losing the lustre of Love's iridescent hues
It succumbs to wanton apoplexy
Betwixt the Loves the poet searches
Refining her enchanting snare

Reveal multitudes unknown

Beneath the cosmic canopy

Beyond which we can’t comprehend
Its truths so strange and queer

Its spirit speaks in thunder
That the human rarely hears
So closed in heart and mind
They build a wall around their ears

The Science Of Solidarity

Light is dying, my spark squashed, gasping for one last crackle
Made into an effigy of a loser by harsh hands, adorned with knives
That slap me in to submission
And cut off all the residual fat of my compassion
Till what is left of me is not nature
But a bundle of gray neuroses
And an acidic bitterness that dissolves joy
Words are my sanctuary
Words that convey affection
That, like magic, move in my ears and brain
It’s a game of roulette if electricity’s commute through the body is cruel or kind
I am constantly looking for another heart to mimic the light of my own, divine echolocation
I like compassion that isn’t thoughtlessly advertised
Compassion that isn’t just a slogan to afford faceless corporate monoliths an air of humanity, who all year, all around the world, wage war on human brotherhood and love
True compassionate acts are currency of a gift economy which creates a multiplier effect for optimal outcomes

And be an ocean of strength and prominent in the universe

The ****** of the chance to try,
Made a spirit struggle, rue,

The thing that I'd propose,

But this creation is no fixity

Capitalism becomes dangerous
Only when we believe it has no end
